But you would be hardpressed to argue that the Soviets were open to that. Finally, getting welfare benefits in this state is exceptionally difficult. The public health care is only for super super poor. Same with food. Housing assistance is impossible to get. And unemployment is a nightmare and takes forever to get benefits. I know this is about Phillip Rivers, but I hate this straight up ######ed assumption about Cali. He still had a lot of yards because they have good skill position players and trailed in most games so they had to pass a lot. He's going to get worse, not better. He had really good WRs, good TEs and excellent RBs. I don't know what team takes him, especially since he will demand $15-20 million. What team commits to that even if for 1 year? That and his career is in its tail end, may as well go home, chill, play a little golf, spend some time with the kids, and even let his body heal up completely. They can turn it around next year. Especially if Miami gets their hands on a good RB they won’t have to ask Rivers to do much, I can see them signing Rivers and keeping Fitz while trading away Rosen and drafting Tua and red shirting him all next year.
