So whatever will happen to "Right Josh" Rosen?

No, they benched him because he was playing terrible and Fitzpatrick made the offense competent. Rosen had a passer rating of 52.0 this year. Fitzpatrick had a passer rating of 85.5 and he did it with a worse supporting cast considering Drake was traded and Preston Williams went on IR. They would have gone 0-16 with Rosen starting.

Rather simplistic assessment.  Rosen had little experience in the NFL while Fitz has been around forever.  Experience and comfort level make a major difference in how one performs and what their ratings are.  Apples and oranges are simply not the same.  If you want to develop a young, promising quarterback, you play him and improve his supporting cast as best you can.  Ask the Bills.

Seems pretty hard.    The guy is 2-2 at flaming out for 2 different teams.

Poor man’s Jeff George.

Oh brother!

Hard to gauge, and I was no fan of Rosen pre draft.

Kyler Murray (and Kingberry) made Arizona at least competitive.

Fitzpatrick took the land of misift toys and did what Allen and McDermott can't do (win in New England)

Rosen may actually benefit from having to sit in a few different schemes. Check the attitude, learn and absorb.

Some guys have bounced around a bit and had good careers. Rich Gannon comes to mind.

Heck even Favre and Steve Young had to get shipped off and sit before they became successful.

Yeah AZ and Miami were not ideal, but was Buffalo ideal in season 1? How about the Jets? Plenty of good QBs land in bad situations, that is where god college QBs often go.

Some survive and thrive, others don't.

To early to write the book on any of the QBs from that class yet.

Two consecutive teams decided Rosen is not worth trying to develop.

Personally I think QBs with zero mobility have an uphill battle in the modern NFL. The ceiling of that style of QB today is Kirk Cousins. Elite offensive lines are just about impossible to build these days, and it's harder still to keep them together for multiple seasons. So if you can't escape pressure you're going to have a tough time surviving.

Rosen came into the NFL with this major unfixable flaw so he needed to show early on that his abilities as a passer and a decision maker made up for it. He hasn't done that. Teams are looking for the next Mahomes, Jackson, and Watson. No one is looking for the next Matt Ryan. I don't think Rosen will completely fall out of the NFL but he'll likely bounce around teams for a while and never establish himself as a full time starter.
