No special teams play comes to mind at all that was a game changer. In the previous decade some Terrence McGee KO returns would have made the discussion 2. For as dynamic a player Tyrod was, you'd figure that he would have had a play that everyone remembers, but none really come to mind that rise up as a candidate 3. A few plays here and there - a block, amazing tackle, etc - but Bills used to be known for special teams and were considered one of the top teams regarding special teams. I always look at special teams as a wild card where a special play can turn a game but aside from long FGs, a kick downed in shadow of goal posts, etc. we have not had that anymore. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's the symbolism of what Allen did; it was the play of that game, and that was the game where we seem to have shucked off the mediocrity of most of the past two decades. Allen's hurdle in the Vikings game was slightly better, I think. As far as other plays go, I'm sure there were some spectacular plays from Fitzpatrick (Owens TD), Fred Jackson, Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy, others that would qualify.
