2020 East-West Shrine Game

Recommended Posts

The first All-Star game is set for January 18.

While this one does not have the big names you see in the Senior Bowl, it is where you can find some hidden gems.

The rosters are not set, but here is the acceptance list: https://www.shrinegame.com/acceptances

Players I will be keeping an eye on:

Khaleke Hudson LB Michigan

Calvin Throckmorton OL Oregon

James Proche WR Southern Methodist

Any other in this game you like?

How good is he?

He is actually a good prospect. Good size , pretty good athlete

Has started for years so is experienced...

Been a dominating run blocker and a good pass protector in the MAC and usually got the best of his opponents

He should at worst be a priority UDFA but some teams may find him draftable

Bills should be hitting on the local products

I mean they are always at the pro day and local scouts are plugged in but even as the biggest UB fanatic you can't just draft their guys to draft them

They need to be legit NFL prospect's and there's usually only 1-2 UB guys who are draftable yearly

I miss some of the all-star games of old.

The Blue-Gray Game was held on Christmas Day in Birmingham AL (I think). I used to think those people were especially dedicated to be doing it on Christmas.

The Ricoh Japan Bowl was held in Japan. What a great fringe benefit for the top college players.

There may be one or two minor all-star games left, but they seem hard to find.

I miss the Blue-Gray Game. It was fun.

Another all-star game that has gone missing is The Hula Bowl.
