.....all these 6 get activated and they produce nothing to this offense. Yet we have a capable 6-3 redzone threat we sit on the bench picking his nose. When are these dumbass coaches going to figure it out? Even 6-1 Yeldon would be productive?

Yes Redzone needs to start being a thought. Size is an issue at times.

You are correct, Duke is 6'3 and knox is 6'4. Still, the argument for a taller reciever is good one

I can’t say with a straight face it would hurt to have a bigger guy. But I have said for a few weeks they have Kroft who is no smurf at 6’6,  they paid him big money, and refuse to use him. I can’t see how he is not a weapon for the red zone for them.

I’m not going to go crazy over the Duke stuff, but when multiple games in a year have the statement made of “if only we had a bigger receiver in that spot....”, it’s reasonable to wonder why a guy, who’s probably nothing more than depth, but did everything asked of him, and was productive in his playing time, can’t get on the field.

But...McKenzie is contributing so much!

5 foot nothing....our only 2 receivers are smurfs. Dawson did get open today but Josh only used "trajectory" once on 3 tries to him. McStubborn continues to keep Duke in jail. Brilliant

When Duke goes 12--140 and 2 TDs vs the Jets it's going to be so lit in here.

Don't laugh,  he probably will.

Great. Then we’ll be starting Barkley in the wild card game.

This isn't totally out of the question. Assuming brown and beasley don't play, Duke may be the only reliable reciever out there. Whatd be interesting to see is if knox, croft and Williams all play, how much size makes a difference. Those are three large recievers and I'll be interested to see how much red zone efficiency changes with them.

Especially with Barkley throwing for...wait for it...300 YDS. Yeldon's gonna rush for 150 yds and now we have to play all 3.

Duke wasn't even the best receiver on his cfl team. 101 incomplete passes to him in his 2 years in Canada. 101! That's a lot of passes left on the field.

All we have his a cfl highlight clip of Duke. His teammate has 1 too. Has a lower incomplete % too. 132 attempts to him in 2017 and only 32 incomplete.

Duke had 37 incomplete in only 83 attempts! Duke then had 64 incomplete in 2018. Maybe we signed the wrong guy.

Wellp you missed the point

Nope got, it. You missed mine.

Ryan has thrown 110 more passes than Josh and Jones/Ridley have 155 rec for 13 tds.

Brown/Beasley have 139 rec for 12 tds

And the falcons are 6-9.

110 more passes by Josh and the short guys are right there with them, if not past them.

Agreed, watching Beasley try to go up for the game tying TD was comical. The defender had a good 2 inches on him. We don't have any receivers that can go vertical and steal the catch. In crunch time you need a player like that.

It wouldn't have mattered how tall someone was on that throw they weren't going to steal a catch. The ball was under thrown to the end zone because Allen had to throw off his back foot because the line fell apart. Beasley actually jumped higher than the defender and got a hand on the ball. But no one was making that catch with how good of a position the defender had.

Easier to blame the coaches than the players we love.

So many opportunities in this game and the players failed on both sides of the ball.

This is a really important point. Any coach will tell his players, if you can get your hands on it you better catch it. A ball hits Beasley on the hands, and he drops it. Another hits him in the arm pit, and he drops it. Yet another is “too high”, but it glances off his hands.

Hands receivers are more important than size at this point. If a guy catches with his hands, he’s using his body to get his hands in front of the defender.

Josh Allen needs guys that can catch.
