The 2019 fired coaches club

I was right about Jay Gruden being the first to face the axe. The Riverboat Ron sinking came as a surprise, I thought they'd can him at the end of the season..

Next heads to be chopped should be:

Dan Quinn in Atlanta

Freddy Kitchens in Cleveland should be one and done

Doug Marrone's time is up in Jacksonville

If Jason Garrett isn't done in big D, Jerry's credibility goes down the toilet.

Anybody else?

Jerry's credibility is halfway to the sewage treatment facility already. A new coach isn't going to change that.

But I think you're right about Garrett being fired at the end of the year.

Garret's contract is up at the end of the year and Jerry won't resign him. Saving that dead money payout.

Thanks - I didn't realize his contract was up. Given that, the fact that he hasn't been extended by now pretty much says it all.

Kitchens reminds me too much of Rex Ryan.  Nobody wants that.

Bill O'Brien, Houston: Unless he wins 2 playoff games or more.

Might not be fair but i can see this one:

Anthony Lynn Chargers:

Hmmm to Bill O'Brien

I kind of agree with you on both points about Anthony Lynn

You may disagree about Rivera but it was no surprise.  It was widely known the new owner wasn't happy.

I think everyone knew he was getting the axe. Everybody just thought it’d be after the season.

Be happy to see marrone get the axe. Hated him as a hire here, hated his sour puss during his interviews, hated his coaching most of all, and of course I was happy he left until I seen his replacement so I hated him for leaving,  hope the jets hire him to coach their offensive line, and I hope he digs Hackett out of wherever he went after being fired to quarterback coach Darnold.

I don't know what particular time frame you think people thought that.  However talk of his possible in season firing,  days leading up were there.  It wasn't terribly surprising when finally announced..
