They're the DVOA people right? Pass.

I’m not a fan of statistics that are kept in secret either. That said, the point still stands. These 3 Ds are all top 4-5 in the league by most metrics.

we played Denver who was number 4 at the time and did just fine...  Also hung one of the higher yardage totals on the Pats this year....we will be fine.

Hope you're right, but it's still a tough stretch. Pitt has been playing lights out on D lately.

I'm happy with the way Josh has been taking care of the ball -- I don't blame him for the sack/fumble against Baltimore.  If he continues to protect the ball and the Bills commit no more than one turnover I do think they will be fine against the Steelers.

Don't sell them short, they are tremendous slouches.

In general, I do not like the idea of our Smurfy receivers playing against a physical secondary.  I think it wears on them to the point of not being able to perform and the drops have something to do with that.  Not calling them unwilling just not able to matchup physically for a whole game.  I do like the idea of Duke Williams in this and I wonder why the Bills do not see the value of having a wide bodied, strong handed, tough to move, fight for the ball target in their offense.

I've said this a few times, but assuming we make it, this will make us a much better football team on wild card weekend than had the opposite been true.

The Jets are no slouches defensively either.

I agree and almost included that point. That may well be a run for the bus game, though, given the strong likelihood of crappy weather ...

you can't go all 16 weeks playing cupcakes

The undefeated Dolphins didn't see a playoff team all their regular season, so you can sail through without facing a good team...

I wonder if there are threads on the Steelers forums about "oh crap, our 3rd string QB has to face Buffalo's defense".

I still have more confidence in our offense putting up 17+ points than the Steelers'.

Of course not. Steeler fans don't fear any opponent.

They have good defenses, but DVOA is bull####.

The patriots havent faces faces a single effective pass team that hasn’t beaten them. The Steelers are coming off a stretch where their biggest opponent was the Rams who were hot garbage. The ravens were the best of the three when you look at what offenses they’ve faced, and we hung with them.

Dallas has the #1 pass offense in the league. I think the Bills certainly have a good chance to beat the Steelers, but it's worth noting that DVOA actually factors in quality of opponent, which raw yardage/points measures don't.

Good thing we beat Dallas already
