His panicking and deer in the headlights look is back. He’s playing recklessly. Totally pre-Miami. He needs to get his head on straight and fast.

Not only was it just one game where Josh didn’t play well. It was just one half. The first half. And a big part of that was adjusting to all the blitzing. They did a lot better job in the second half.Did you even watch the three previous games. Big overreaction here. He will be fine next week.

Poor take? His reckless playing is going to get him injured. Then what??

So it's about injuries?  Or poor play?  Make up your mind bud.

A good screen game would be huge for this offence. We are terrible on screens most of the time.

Yep. It’s one of the reasons they match up so poorly with pressure defenses that have good DBs. Bills could go a long way toward beating those defenses if they could run an effective screen.

We're going to destroy the Squeelers.  Duck Dodgers will wish he was back in the 24th 1/2 Century.

I didn’t see any sign from the offense today that they will handle the Steelers pressures. D will be OK, but they won’t win the game on their own.

Two separate entities. But it’s a mental thing with Josh.  It’s his situational intelligence. He just has to play smarter.

Reckless play will lead to Injuries.

Only if Daboll learned something about play design and play calling against the blitz...

he's had all year to adjust and still leaves allen in empty set with longer developing routes and no rb to even slow the pass rush worrying about a draw  Its not going to change  We suck at screens as well

But where was his reckless play today?  He was pressured a ton.  I wouldnt day getting sacked after 2 seconds with the ball is reckless.  It's not like he is running wild and taking big hits today.

He’s holding onto the ball way too long. Staring down receivers, making bad reads, running with better options, sliding late.

He looked lost out there today. That look in his eyes is not encouraging.

When did he slide too late?  Holding the ball is reckless?  Abandon your crusade.  It's going to be ok.  We didn't get Lamar....its OK.  We are a playoff team.  Enjoy the ride.

Our offense tends to look more relaxed and dialed in on the road.  That’s my main hope for Pittsburgh.

Johnny Cage may I suggest you watch the game again and pay attention this time.

Being uninformed is no excuse.

See how easy that is?  No substance...no argument.  No points made.

He held onto the ball too long today!!! Now, go back and watch the past three games where it didn’t happen. He had an off game today. We all saw the game. You’re missing the big picture. You’re focusing on a few trees from today’s game and you have no clue about the forest at least based on your posts tonight. Overall, he is doing just fine.

This is an awful take. Did he play amazing today, no, not at all. But to say he has regressed is a long shot. He had no time, played with a tweaked ankle, and his playmakers dropped several big passes. Just a week ago, he played most likely his best game to date. If you didn't notice, the front-runner for MVP din't exactly light the world on fire today. So by your logic, has Lamar regressed as well?

Carrying this logic onward, facing the defenses of BAL, PIT, NE, NYJ is going to be wonderful experience for the playoffs if we can get there, like i mentioned in the post game thread. And of course the offseason changes things, but we have to travel out west to face some tough defenses next year. All adversity is good experience for a team this young.

I agree. We obviously need to make the playoffs, but these games, win or lose, are what’s going to make this team playoff ready.  They will be ready to play physical playoff football.

Agree.... Here's to hoping that Josh learned as much yesterday as he did in the NE loss....

This loss today is really helpful and a Great learning experience for this team, especially for next week. We will be facing a similar high-pressure blitzing D in the Steelers. I think having gone through today is going to go a long way for handling the Steelers.

Steelers don't blitz as much and definitely do not have the corners to play Cover 0 this much. Beasley will eat them alive if they try it.

The problem the Bills have is not so much with blitzes, its with teams playing aggressive cover 0 where they play bump and run on the WR's and they can't get open quick enough before the pressure gets there. Allen has not hit the deep ball hardly at all this year, which is the most effective way to get teams to back off cover 0.  Had a few open shots early in the game and once again air mailed them 5 yards over the receivers heads.

Realistically the only 2 teams in the AFC that can effectively play Cover 0 a lot against us are New England and Baltimore because they have 3 very good corners that can match up with our 11 personnel which is our preferred grouping. San Fran could likely play that as well but we don't play them.
