Does the Buffalo area seem to have a bit of a problem with racism?

That's the vibe I've gotten over the years.

It may be the upper northeast in general. The Boston area certainly has an issue with it, too. I grew up there.

Not really

It's called the city of good neighbors for a reason

Buffalo is historically one of the most segregated cities in the country.

That's like giving yourself a nickname... ?

Buffalo is definitely a nice area, don't get me wrong. Plenty of good people.

Yeah? I don't know the history, but I guess that wouldn't surprise me. I've lived in a bunch of different areas around the US and can't deny the vibe I've gotten from those northeast areas. Maybe there's just more of a culture clash there.

Yes and it’s more than a bit. I didn’t believe it until I was in an interracial relationship. It’s bad.

Well, Philly is  the city of brotherly love.

Yea but buffalo is actually friendly

Anybody who thinks there a real racist vibe in buffalo in 2019 don't go around it

There are #######s everywhere including some racists in every city but it's not even close to being a problem in buffalo today

Have you ever been to Buffalo with people that aren’t white?

Yea that's a stupid question and giving me confusing reactions to everything is also stupid because I live here

I've lived here my whole life and still do

And I have tons of black friends that I hang with around the city from Lovejoy and downtown to the east side and west side

You must be deaf or lying because they’re are a lot of racists in this area.

I don’t leave the house much in the last year because I’m disabled but when I could there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t hear someone making racist comments. Maybe it completely changed in that year but I highly doubt it because there’s still a ton of people that say otherwise

I can promise you I'm not lying and LOTS is over exaggerating

There are super racist cities all in the deep South and affluent north and Buffalo IS NOT AS BAD AS ANY OF THEM

sorry if something happened to you but to say THERE'S LOTS IS A LIE

I don't know 1 actual racist. Maybe I'm a good person and only deal with good people

But I also have a house on the Eastside and see everything

Oh well that changes everything. You don’t know one so they don’t exist.

Not just me. My girlfriend, her kids. My relatives that are mixed, my employees, former coworkers, neighbors, people walking down the street, a Native American that was chased by 20 people down Louisiana because they thought he was African American and hid in a shed until police came and escorted him out of the mob. Love joy residents throwing rocks at african Americans driving through the area. I can go on.

You are definitely wrong here.

I live on the east side and this stuff isn't the norm. White people don't mob blacks or Latinos in mass

White people don't hate black people in Buffalo and you're just making it worse

It's not that inherent

There are racists in every city it's not inherent. I had a black person call me a cracker and put a gun to my head are they all racist, no they aren't
