Bills / Broncos beats out Jets / Raiders in Albany, NY (Capital Region)!

I just checked the TV schedule for WRGB and they are showing the Bills game over the Jets game for the 1pm game this week! Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I always see Bills fans in the area and hardly any Jets fans. Bills have taken a backseat to the Jets on TV in this area for the last 20 years.

Couldn't be a better year for it as I dropped Direct TV this year after having NFL ticket for 12years. I have seen every game this year on free HD antenna baby but one!

I am just about to cut the DTV "cord".  I setup an antenna in the attic last weekend, get 46 channels with it, most of them crap tbh.  Setup PLEX DVR and plan to get Spectrum 400M internet only, no TV.  Need to figure out which streaming services will get me most of what I want.

Be careful, they add up quick.

I live in Albany and grew up in Bethlehem.   While the total number of fans between the two teams is probably close to equal in this area (Giants fans being the most numerous), Bills fans are much more passionate and likely to wear team apparel in public.  For the sake of fairness, I think when one of the two is substantially better than the other, that team's game should be shown.  If the Bills aren't on you can always go to McGeary's which is a blast if the Bills are winning and if they don't show up...well misery loves company.  Cuomo showed up to catch the Browns game with us, which was cool to watch with a governor regardless of how people may feel about his policies.  All that being said ***** the Jets wholly and truly and I don't feel anyone should waste their time watching them flounder this season, Bills should be on from here on out.

Yeah, that's the concern.  I've never paid for a streaming service outside of Amazon Prime, and that was for free shipping purposes.

We "cut" cable a couple years back.  Every once in a while I'd see small charges in our checking account, but never really paid much attention to them.  Only recently I started to realize that our streaming services were starting to look more like a cable bill.  We have Prime, Hulu, CBS All Access (for mobile Bills games), ESPN+ and Netflix.  We "steal" HBO from another person's login.  My wife claims Prime doesn't count because of the shipping hah.

I'm still waiting for the official word.  Yes it's on the Spectrum cable guide & the Times Union sports section but this has happened before & we didn't get the Bills game.  When I see the ad during the Ch 6 news saying Denver/Buffalo 1 PM Sunday, then I'll believe it.  I find it hard to believe they'll take Bills/Denver over Jets/Raiders since the Raiders are doing Ok & have a much bigger national fan base than Denver.

I have to look at services this weekend and see what I can get away with.  The difference between DTV and Spectrum 400M internet is about $80.  I'd like to get away with only spending maybe $50/month on streaming services.

$50 is solid and will give you flexibility is building a nice package. Nice thing is you can always cancel.
