Very cool.

Quote

"[Tremaine]'s a very vocal guy, but I think the whole team hasn't heard him speak," Hyde said.... it was good to see him get up in front of the team and some offensive guys who don't get to hear him that much."

Wonder how much that had to do with the Offense seeming to click better.

Really curious as to what exactly he said...

“I was shocked’: Inside Tremaine Edmunds’ speech that inspired the Bills before their win over the Dolphins

Edmunds didn’t hold back. He felt a weight on his team after the loss to the Browns and told his teammates to play free. He told them to think back to playing the game as a kid and what motivated them back then. Edmunds wanted the Bills to create that same energy on the field against the Dolphins.

“It resonated with everybody because on the field he leads with his play,” Jordan Phillips said. “To hear him come out as a young guy and really open up his heart to everybody like that, we just knew it was genuine and he’s just a leader. He stays back, but for him to go up there and open up to everybody is just something you don’t see from a young guy very often.”

“That means he means it what he says,” Frank Gore said. “Tremaine’s a baller. We respect Tremaine. I respect Tremaine and the way he comes to work every day and practices hard. He reminds me of (former 49ers great) Patrick Willis when he was younger.”

“He challenged us to be dogs, and that’s what we did,” Ford said.

“Leave no doubt,” Brown said.

Or a big turd- just come here after a bad week and people will tell you!

To be fair, they've kept him hidden behind the line of scrimmage and people are seeing him execute the play that is called. He is something special when's unleashed on blitzes and in coverage. Play calling on both sides of the ball looked much better against Miami. Attacking the QB, simplified offense that actually called normal, NFL style plays that are known to work at timely moments. The staff at this point has got to learn to unleash these young guys every week. They don't need to be coddled, they need to be put in a position to be dominant. Sometimes that means they'll have to swallow their pride and move away from their coveted schemes once in awhile.

I really hope Frank Gore meant this.  That would be so great if Edmunds turns out to be the player at least in the ballpark of Patrick Willis.

And sometimes they will have to take their lumps as young players too but babying them isn't going to make them better it's only going to delay their development.

That's big coming from Edmunds.

It's great because I felt during this upcoming 4-game stretch that starts on Thanksgiving, we'd get to see the evolution of Edmunds, Allen, and Daboll as a playcaller.

Hopefully Daboll develops consistency during the stretch, I have a strong feeling that both Edmunds and Allen take that next step to being cornerstones on their respective sides of the field.
