The guy who runs Banged up Bills (name escapes me) is on the Locked on bills Podcast with Joe Merino every Friday I believe, I have heard him speak. He is alright, a good level of orthopedic knowledge but I wouldn't consider him an expert/gospel on the same level as an MD.

And I wouldn't suggest that he does! But I think you can at least acknowledge he offers a good deal of insight and analysis that the average lay person, even with the internet, could offer.

Yes. You are entitled to that opinion. And, it is super disturbing that those are opinions that people hold

Ok dude. I try not to live in a world of firsts and instant gratification. I prefer my facts to be substantive and concrete, including medical diagnoses. I’m comfortable being patient and waiting for the team to announce what’s up with him. One man’s opinion. Guess we just have to agree to disagree on this one.

It’s just a guy’s opinion who has background in sports related injuries on what the injury *could* be based on video - I thought that was understood. I didn’t think anyone thought it was any kind of announcement or gospel.

This video hasn't circulated much, which gives a glimmer of hope that it may not be as severe as seen on the broadcast.

Oh Thad  what a waste of a good joke

I'm no doc, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night

Fair enough. I wasn’t suggesting you were representing it as gospel or anything more than you did. This isn’t the first account that’s out there like this. Again, I get why people find it interesting. Just not for me. When I clicked into the updates for this post, I was hoping maybe we had an update on what actually happened to him and how long he might be out. No question he’s the best RT we have on the roster, and an unfortunate week to be missing him with Von coming to town.

Still a doctor, and his expertise is super relevant to sports injuries.

It is super disturbing how people in this country have become so willing to dismiss expert opinion as either having no basis or being not relevant.

Lol.... as in “ the only thing “ the Doctor has that I don’t is a medical degree !  smh

There are 5 OL starters, but there aren’t 5 backup OL men.

All the other 17 starters usually have a backup.

So when you lose a starting OL for the year, it’s a blow.

Hopefully Ford is up to the full time challenge. He is going to have to be.

Ankle injuries can be very tricky. My buddy has a son who was dating a doctor’s daughter. She used to take them to casinos all over creation, and loved her gambling! She turned up one day with TWO broken ankles, and said it happened when she went into the back yard to put food in the bird feeder. I guess the yard wasn’t perfectly flat.

Anyway, you have it right there from an actual doctor....you cannot predict ankle injuries. But she took 50 to one odds against two ankles at the same time.

Lost again!

Hey I broke that bone in the same place, still have a rod inside the bone from the ankle to the knee. I skipped my last appointment to get it removed so I could get back on the soccer field. I went back a year later for a different injury and the Dr. said I had to live with it that it be to difficult to remove at that point... it was a fun injury ???

Not sure if it’s the dreaded high ankle sprain or a break. Either way he is probably out for 6 weeks, at the earliest.
I had the exact same thing happen to me in college. By the time I got back to the locker room my ankle was swollen twice it’s size and black and blue. The pain lingered for a long long time.
I don’t see Nsekhe coming back this year. Outside shot at playoffs.
