And lots of teams in the league have been struggling to find consistent kickers for the past few years. For whatever reason there seems to be a lack of that talent in the NFL right now. While I do agree they are trying to win, they do seem to have a bad habit going after players based off of culture. For instance how in the hell is Lee Smith still employed? Oh really, ask Mike Nugent when he got cut by the Patriots a couple of weeks ago. He missed a 34 yard field goal and had a 29 yard field goal blocked. So Gostkowski (probably spelled that wrong) never missed a kick? Ask yourself whether you truly believe that 'Your only as good as your last kick' isn't clownish hyperbole.
