Where does the 10th win come from?

It's not coming.

The Bills might not get to 9 wins.

Miami is over their crap and just played us hard. Everyone there is no longer thinking they'll get traded and is now in on putting together good film in case they move on next year. Two wins in a row.

Denver has a solid defense. Hard to see us scoring 20 points against them which makes that an iffy game.

Dallas is significantly better than us.

Baltimore should destroy us.

Pittsburgh is peaking. Their D is playing really well, gets pressure and forces mistakes. Again, where do the points come from on the road?

New England will be playing for home field.

The Jets will be playing spoiler.

This thing feels like it's about to go south in a hurry. The offense is a mess, we can't pass the ball, we can't score points, and we need the defense and special teams to play perfect football to win games. The QB and OC are major problems and our HCs situational awareness on how to use timeouts and work the clock is simply horrible.

The Bills might win 2-3 of their remaining games. Their offense is simply not good enough to expect to win more than that.

On paper Pittsburgh looks like the best bet, but ... the Bills haven't won in Pittsburgh since 1975, when the Juice ran for 227 yards.

The Bills will beat Miami, Denver, and the Jets. One slip up by either Pitt, Baltimore, or Dallas (turnovers, special teams flukes, etc.) and the Bills get to 10. They will not win at NE.

Sadly, IMO, it doesn't.

I used to think Pittsburgh, but not anymore.   They're 4-0 in the last month and their next six games come aganst teams with a combined 17-37-1 record.     They look very tough on defense right now, which is not good news for a struggling Bills offense...

It looks to me that the rest of the season is going to play out with the Bills just being on the outside of the playoffs.  The rest of our schedule looks like this:

WIN        at Miami (2-7)
WIN        vs. Denver (3-6)
LOSS     at Dallas on Thanksgiving (5-4)
LOSS     vs. Baltimore (7-2)
????      at Pittsburgh (5-4)
LOSS    at New England (8-1)
WIN      vs. New York Jets (2-7)

We are at 6 and 3.     The above shows three wins and three losses, which puts us at 9 and 6, without adding in the Pittsburgh game.

Pittsburgh is at 5-4 but has an easier schedule.  They also have won 4 straight.

WIN     at Cleveland (3-6)
WIN     at Cincinnati (0-9)
WIN     vs. Cleveland (3-6)
WIN     at Arizona (3-6-1)
?????    vs. Buffalo (6-3)
WIN    at New York Jets (2-7)
LOSS  at Baltimore (7-2)

The Steelers are at 5 and 4.     The above shows five wins and one loss, which puts them at 10 and 4, without adding in the Buffalo game.

This may be the game that decides whether we have a post season.

I would say so.  Maybe,  (takes several gulps from near empty bottle of Jaeger),  they are tanking the season to get draft picks in the top 16 of each round.  So they give Allen a forced learning experience and have him make passing mistakes to learn and get experience in reading coverages, going thu progresssions and make the right decisions.  If he is handing the ball off all the time, he doesn't learn.  Yeah, that it.  Where did I leave that case of beer?

Question: If we miss the playoffs this year does McDermott get fired?

 I sure hope not.

As for the OP, I agree.  Nice breakdown.  There’s a very good chance that whichever team wins that game gets a WC and the other stays home.

All this fuss about the playoffs.  We are just going to get bounced in the wild card round anyway.  Instead of stressing the playoffs so much, we should be stressing be a threat to win it all.  What's the point of getting in the playoffs when you don't have a realistic shot. Right now we don't.  Our offense cannot score like a playoff team should
