I have serious doubts about this, but if by some wild chance it did, it would just prove Meyer's "health" concerns always seem to pop up when the poop starts hitting the fan.

Every team with an opening is pursuing him.

I am not sure if anybody caught Herbstreit Saturday, but he went off on Florida St.  Saying how far that program has fallen & that their irrelevant, saying all those kids want to do is fight & talk trash.  It was a pretty brutal assessment of the program.  He was dead on though imo.

He said he actually feels bad for Taggart, saying he is one of the most classiest guys in college football, and doesn't deserve the way his team embarrasses him.  I guess Taggart has got to take some responsibility though, culture starts from the top.  FSU boosters must have some deep pockets, I think the buyout is $15 million, plus reloading & bringing in a new coach.  If they go after a guy like Meyer, it is going to cost another 6 - 7 million a year.

I think FSU unless they could land a guy like Meyer, needs to rip this program down and build it back up.  Whoever you hire you have to give the guy 5 years to get his people in place.  Their will be some ugly seasons the next few years but it is what it is.  I am not sure the boosters/alumni have the stomach for it though.  I remember they tried to do that at the U with Shannon & eventually the losing got old & he was canned.  Funny but they still haven't gotten back to the U status.  These things take time but everybody wants instant gratification.

absolutely!! Not waiting for development only leads to more setbacks by continually starting over. That is Where we were for almost 20 years and now , Thank God, we have McDermott with his process and system, which has us set up for years to come with stability and success.

It will take a lot more than just the right guy to turn around FSU.

From what I have read, the FSU facilities are bad, and it was one of the reasons Jimbo Fisher jumped ship.

Apparently, FSU is not in a big hurry to perform any needed upgrades.

That will make recruiting difficult when you have nearby schools like Alabama, Auburn, UGA, and even Clemson more than willing to upgrade their stadiums and facilities.
