There was a reason they didn't add anyone to the offense at the trade deadline. McDermott believes the offense has room to grow. The starting offense is still developing.. They haven't played together for two complete months. The season is a marathon not a sprint.

I agree with all of this.

Daboll will still bring his "17 pt gamebook" on Sunday.

I know that I’m in the minority and an admitted OSU homer but I’d prefer Keenum. I preferred Eli to Daniel Jones for the same reason. Give me the less talented guy with a resume of mediocrity (or in Eli’s case washed up). I don’t think it will matter this week but I’m positive Keenum wouldn’t beat us.

Keenum has a 94.8 QB rating this year albeit purely a game manager.  He makes few mistakes and when the running game is going they can compete.

Daniel Jones seems farther along than Haskins who was a one year starter at Ohio State who was considered more of a project.  I'll take the rookie.

I think the D will be fine, it’s the offense that is most concerning imo. They really do need to show who’s boss in this game. I would like to see three TD passes and more from the Bills, but mostly I just want a win.

Go Bills!!!

My feelings exactly.

I'm not that concerned about the defense and feel they will bounce back and be strong again.

I want to see the offense have a dominant game against a 1-7 team.

Well,  a positive way to view that would be : Think of all the dormant posters that will make an appearance to let us know their feelings and wonderful insight on football.

To be fair, he’s barely played. This was the 1st week he’s even practiced with the starters. Jones has been the full time starter since week 3. Also where/how/why has he proven to be an athlete and not cerebral? Kind of the opposite description of who he is.

The 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, Haskins has played parts of two games and has not looked good. There has been talk that he’s struggling to learn the playbook.

To me, if you're a player in the highest level of organized football ( the NFL) you ARE an athlete. I'm sorry but if your struggling to learn the playbook after an entire off and on season of full participation that indicates to me you're lacking in memory retention IMO, though to my own admission I'm not a brain specialist. But who knows? Maybe he's proficient in reciting the alphabet backwards.

Haskins isn't really athletic at all; Jones is. Haskins is a classic pocket passer.

There are many forms and character traits that form an athlete.

Strength, agility, speed, elusiveness, vision, awareness, endurance, pain tolerance, poise, anticipation, etc. Performing at the highest professional level with any combination of these traits IMO makes you an athlete.

...so does Frazier fix it or do we get gashed by AD and Haskins?....granted one play netted 65 yds.......

We'll know in about 48 hours.

I'm not sure if it was the defensive play-calling or the execution that was bad last week, but it seemed like Edmunds was out of place a lot. Whether that was due to the scheme or his misreading the play, I don't know.

Wow.  A ton of folks here already giving the Bills the "W".  I'll admit, I like the news, too, but, we've seen this happen before.  A team with no business winning a game against BUF or it's dog fight to the end.

I myself, am trying not to jinx it.  Let's just get to 6-2.

Haskins is at this point not one of the top 60 Qbs in the NFL. And he is coming to Buffalo on a windy day in the cold against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Not going to go well for him.

Not that we should expect more from this organization, but I think this was a dumb move by the redskins. I understand he needs reps, I understand he was a first round pick. But they chose new era field, one of the loudest stadiums, and against one of the best pass Ds in the league for his first start? I can’t think of a worse idea. Miami chose otherwise with starting Fitz instead of  Rosen there and that made sense. Haskins has already been through the ringer with the fired coach, coach didn’t want him, etc. They have a vet in colt mccoy and should have started him this week.

he’s played in cold, wind, snow (not particularly  well, but he played)

He really doesn’t have speed, elusiveness, or agility  when compared to other nfl QBs who are “Athletic”

With our luck this is either the best news or the worst news.

Seriously: I felt confident about the Eagles game last week and we got slaughtered.

Lesson learned.  I'm not letting this news of a scrub Redskins QB starting give me premonitions of 6-2.

They are passing the 13 mile marker...
