PromoTheRobot
We had a gunslinger who used to move the ball but would have a bad throw or two picked off. Now we have a guy who's careful with the ball, not throwing picks but now doesn't trust what he sees, takes sacks and fumbles a lot. But at least his QBR is good, right? 5

There has to be a middle ground that we are comfortable with. I think we are still searching for that where you don't want to coach all of his gunslinging ways out of him but you also can't accept some of the dumb plays he makes either. Troll Toll
Allen’s game right now works only if the defense isn’t getting trounced. I think the bigger limiting factor for Allen is that receivers don’t do a good job getting open and they drop way too many passes that hit both hands.
papazoid
yesterday is what happens when an elite defense plays mediocre and a mediocre offense plays mediocre. the defense has bailed this team out all year against bottom feeders.

Some truth here. playing a team with a decimated outside corner position, so few shots taken despite having decent time to throw.

The issue is that Allen fumbled it, and as he has shown since the moment he became a starter, he's capable of doing that on any play.
WideRightRevenge
Agreed with OP. The other frustrating thing vs. last year is it appears he is not staying in the pocket and stepping in and throwing it. I was hopeful with Morse, Spain, & Feliciano that the pocket would be there moreso than last year's crew. Have the tackles push the defenders wide and deep and step in and chuck it. The other thing is where are the TE posts plays?

If Foster comes back to the ball on that deep shot he either draws PI or makes a play on the ball and we aren't on our side of the field with Daboll calling stupid plays. Instead he lets the ball drop a yard behind him.

I’m not sure why he was active over McKenzie today, seems to me with the weather McKenzies skill set would of been more helpful.

O coordinator likes to call frequent QB runs too. Daboll uses it way too frequently and has zero confidence in his running backs.
bmur66
Josh Allen needs a running game. Attn: Brian Doughball. The Bills are not the Patriots. Quit trying to get to get your QB killed. He is not a running back. Edited October 28, 2019 by bmur66

Is the Bills defense truly an elite defense? They're good but they haven't shown that they're on the same level as the Pats or Niners, both of which dominate games. Bleeding Bills Blue
It was pouring rain and windy... Not exactly good conditions for throwing. This was a trenches game and we got beat on both sides, simple as that.

Put the crack pipe down and step away from the table!! Come on Promo. The two are nothing alike. Josh has or will accomplish more by the end of this season than TT did in 3 full seasons. Josh's 4th QTR stats (that were) leading the NFL are not from protecting a lead, but gaining a lead and victories.
