Allen IS hitting the proper benchmarks

All season, going into every game Allen needs to this or this.  Allen is hitting the benchmarks in year two.  They just are not the ones that end up on talk shows or fantasy football leagues.

Hes not throwing for 300, 400, or 500 yards.  He isnt running for 75, 100 or 150 yards. However, after 17 career games he as won more than hes lost.  This year he improved his largest deficit.  The short to intermediate passing attack.  0 to 20 yards are the majority of the NFL passes.  He is top rated in that area.

Secondly, where are NFL games won?  The 4th quarter.  He leads the league in 4th quarter passer rating and 4th quarter game winning drives.  Allen is becoming  a legit starter.  His continued improvement is going to turn Buffalo into a team no one wants to play come January.

Better at some things. Still struggling with others. We should not confuse team success with player success. This defense is what has led to the 5-1 record more than the QB play. If the D played the way it started last year and Allen played how he has we are not 5-1 and probably a 1-2 win team.

Josh is improving in how he plays. His footwork and touch in the short and medium game are improving massively. His decision making is still suspect but he seems to be forcing things less after the disaster that was the Pats game. He also seems to be learning not to always run to his right at the first sign of pressure. He still is going to have some bad throws here or there but I think he is in general heading in the right direction.

I don’t think the Bills players give a ***** about individual  success, it’s all about the W.

The Over/Under:

-115  2.5 or more forum posts until Grouchy Gary pokes fun at Allen because of the title

+130  less than 2.5 posts until Grouchy Gary finds some other flaw in Allen besides that title.

Truth, we do have a good defense, but the fact that Allen has led game-winning drives is the complimentary aspect of this team.

Defense is ahead of the offense, but arguably (till this off-season) had the most investment.

This last game the defense was crapping the bed a bit against a bad Miami team and needed the offense and special teams to gen points.

The defense found a way to stop the mighty Fitz, and the offense and ST ponied up the points needed. Once again, complimentary football.

Since our D is usually solid it is important that our STs and Offense not put them in bad situations and play to our team's strength.
