Any kid going into college highly recruited in basketball and football should pry choose the former in most instances. But when the Bills tagged him, it only made sense not to play at less than full strength. I'd have done the same, rehabbing as hard as I could but protecting myself. The Saints got Byrd's best, as the Bills did the first four years, but he fit the Bills and didn't fit the Saints early and he hurt his back and was never the same after he got to N.O. And by the way, having Rob Ryan as your coordinator, as he did in the Big Easy, isn't the way to maximize your performance. I started reading file" Patient appears to be shopping around doctors, he reported 6 before office visit." I will get a notarized copy and return it; you may need to defend yourself to medical practices board. I checked and you had no credentials to diagnose a "mental illness". Since I could not get insurance claim paid I will need to show this to insurance company. Was never contacted by doctor except for a call asking for copy of file returned, doctor's office declined to attempt to attempt to get me to pay bill anymore. Anytime a diagnosis is made requiring non-empirical data it is not science but guess work. With concussions you are dealing with the most complex organ in the body. The NFL needs to protect itself especially with contracts guaranteed for injury but to prevent abuse there must be some contracted standard otherwise many players will act like Percy Harvin did go off rosters, get paid and then try to return and repeat when they fell well. Next he’ll be making Trent Williams like trade demands. The problem is he just isn't as good as his big paycheck. I liked him when he was here, but I’m pretty happy he’s gone now.
