I am hoping that coach can keep these guys grounded during prep etc especially since coming off the bye. Browning Nagle was the Jets QB that day and the Bills were favored by 17 points. Bills had 4 turnovers, and Brad Baxter had a pair of TD runs for the Jets. Bills went to 9-4 with the loss and Jets to 4-9. Bills then rebounded with 2 straight wins over Denver and New Orleans before losing badly on the road to Houston in the season finale and having to face them the next week again in the Wildcard game at home. We all know how that ended... One thing I do miss from that era...the refs and their crew didn't try to be the star attraction by calling penalties on every other play seemingly. Teams looked like they averaged 5 or 6 penalties a game back then, with some games only having 6 total penalties called...now we get that on the first drive of the game sometimes. It's ridiculous. I doubt theyd trade him, but if they’re looking for a new QB, they’re going to want premium draft ammo and there’s not a ton of guys on that team that would get them that, outside of Evans.
