Buffalo Bills bye week injuries: Offensive line, tight end, and running back all dealing with problems

Recommended Posts

Hello bye week!! What an exciting season so far for the Buffalo Bills! They’re 4-1, and it appears the bye is perfectly timed with the onslaught of injuries the team has been able to withstand so far. Today’s article won’t necessarily be a total season review of all the injuries thus far, but the most recent ones on offense and how the Bills will look coming out of the bye.

Tyler Kroft, LOL

"Kroft suffered what now appears to have been a right Jones fracture on the first day of Phase 3 OTA’s with a 3-4 month recovery timeline. He was progressing towards the lower end of the time frame and was practicing in full briefly before a low-ankle sprain on the left knocked him out for another three games and counting."

What is the over/under on games he actually plays in this year.  I am betting it is 4 1/2.

Foster should have been put on IR before the season started.  Duke showed what he can do in the preseason and should have been active since day one of the season.  Plus, we were at risk of losing him.

Nobody was going to take a 27 year old rookie off waivers

We may have hit on him but nobody else was gonna take a chance on him

That would have made room for Duke or perhaps even Murphy who led our RBs the last two years with 5.9 and 4.8 YPA.

Especially, Duke didn't exactly light up preseason.

IMO, the Bills saw that Duke needed more time to learn and adjust to the NFL and they gave it to him.  I see him as still learning, but hopefully he's at a point where OTJ training is his best path.
