Hurdling on the field goal attempt.

It’s not. Missed call by refs

These "missed" calls always seem to go NE's way.  Why didn't they "miss" the phantom penalty that wiped out the personal foul when Allen got his head nearly taken off?

They also "missed" Brady's second intentional grounding.

so let me ask did Brady get fined for criticizing Officials like every player does? When he tweeted about it or no?

I honestly have no idea what he said or whether he got fined.

That stuff holds zero interest for me.

may run forward and leap, provided he does not cross the line of scrimmage or land on players.

As someone else said, not a missed call. He was on the line and leaped over. Completely legal play based on the rule.

What am I missing?  Or better yet how are you translating the rule?

Kind of like the miss with the 3rd INT where Zay was out of bounds touching the ball which made the whole play dead before he gained possession...

Both the refs AND the replay missed that...how can you feel good about replay when they don't even know the rules they are trying to enforcing

There were at least 2-3 times it seemed like Bready could have been called for intentional grounding as well...

I take it as the part you can’t do it unless stationary on the line. He was stationary on the line.

But i am not smart. So I could very well be wrong.

For it to be illegal, he' got to be running forward when he jumps over the line.

If he just jumps over  from a standstill, it's not a penalty.

I'm not convinced that he was running forward.

If he was just lined up there and jumped from a relative standstill, it's not a penalty

He clearly leaped over the LOS. Penalty should have resulted.

Read the rule. He can’t cross the line of scrimmage , he can leap up in place to attempt to block the kick .

I know the rule. I think you need to read it

Here's the rule:  Running forward and leaping across the line of scrimmage....

He was not running forward.

It was not a penalty.

Was he running and leaping in place?

And for anyone that thinks Tom doesn't get that Facemask call.

Read the last sentence and maybe you change your mind. It seems pretty obvious. I don’t care if you do or not, it’s just pretty clearly stated in the OPs post. The sentence you highlight isn’t the key phrase here. If I hear from say, Gene Steratore that the meaning is something other than what I see here, I’d believe that.

You are saying you haven't heard of his widely covered Twitter complaint about the number of holding penalties, suspiciously immediately followed by his O-line of backups not getting holding penalties against the dominant Bills D-line?
