Not that this excuses it but...

It seemed that either the game plan was to test them deep, which was not a great idea, or he simply felt he had to throw it to someone on what he thought were 50/50 balls to make something happen because the receivers were not getting open against a tough pass D.

That being said if he simply threw it out of bounds on two of those three interceptions in the first half we probably win.  Brady threw the ball into the dirt early and often yesterday. if we did the same the outcome likely would’ve been different.

If he throws it out of bounds or in the dirt, he can't be the hero.

He could just win, which is all we want.

This is the fundamental challenge for an overconfident inexperienced QB.  It's hard to have patience but that's the only choice.

McDermott said Josh was forcing throws, the deep ball wasnt the plan.

As much as we all hate to say it, what Josh needs to do is study Tom Brady in this game, and emulate it.

He did little to help his team win, but more importantly, did nothing to help them lose.

This was a defensive dominated games, both ways. In such games, you have to be very smart and not make it easier for the other team's offense to score. All 10 point (and let that sink in, their offense only scored 10 points), came when we gave them the ball. Of course, not blocking correctly on a punt in your own red zone is totally on us.

Got to disagree. Brady threw a pick in the end zone. Brady looked like garbage today. The run game for NE didn’t look much better. That oline is terrible. The league needs to forget at who Tom has been and go kick his butt. He can’t move, he plays scared, and his arm is mediocre at best. NE will lose 4-6 games this year. Book it.

No, the Bills beat themselves today.

The team overall has to be furious with itself. A golden opportunity slipped through their fingers yesterday. The season is still young and young players take time to develop. The offense is going to take time to develop. Thankfully this isn't the only time we get to play the World Champs. I have a feeling our young gunslinger will have learned a lot about the game by the time the two teams face off in Foxboro in Dec.

To be fair to Josh, he holds on to the ball too long and forces throws not to be a hero but because he thinks it will help his team. He's wicked competitive, and he has pulled off absurd throws in similar situations--and receives enormous praise for them. "Learning to be patient" means throwing the ball away even when he knows he can make the play--just in a small percentage of cases. I don't think most of us realize how hard the equation is: Do I chuck it and maybe get that huge shot of dopamine and have 60k people going wild? Or do I throw it away?

I'm hoping letting down his teammates so badly will finally do the trick. If he had been even mediocre they would have won.

Where did this hero bs come from? What Qb doesn't want to be the hero? Any player for that matter. He's young, he'll learn. Stop this hero bs talk.

It's been a thing with him right back to Wyoming at least. He has a tendency to trust his athleticism and cannon arm over what he sees sometimes. Instead of taking what the defense is giving, he uses his ability to escape, scrambles around and forces a big throw which is a bad decision. It's hero ball.
