WGR’s Nate Geary Sounds OFF on Over-Dramatic Bills Fans

Recommended Posts

After suffering through Schopp and Bulldog‘S post game show, I kept listening to WGR to hear the Overtime Show with Nate Geary and Joe DiBiase.

The first thing that Nate did was criticize complaining Bills fans - mostly the ones on Twitter - though you see a lot of the same comments here.

Specially he called out fans that are extremists and turn on the team on the drop of a hat.  Fans are pumped about the Bills, but as soon as they blow a lead it’s “Same old Bills” or “It’s over.”

Joe said he gets it because the Bills have Depressing a lot for the past 2 decades.  But Nate’s point is that the majority of the Bills roster are 2nd or 3rd year players who are still learning to win.

Said that the Bills have never drafted a QB 7th overall and that fans need to give him time and be realistic.

Also said some of the “toxic” comments on Bills Twitter are unbelievable.

It’s a great listen:

Twitter is always toxic no matter what, so to give them press isn't productive really. We ALL have that "here we go again" in us, and to deny it is to lie to yourself. It's always been a part of being a Bills fan, but I for one was thrilled to see yet again that do or die spirit. It's simply taking me back to the germination of what was four straight Super Bowl runs.

The worst offender of all is Sal Maiorana from the Rochester D and C.     He's the new Jerry Sullivan.

Unbelievably cynical and depressing.

One guy on this board was upset that we haven't had a 300 yard passer in years.

Just had a huge home opener win to remain undefeated and he went online and posted a new topic on how embarrassed he is.

The postgame show is awful, impossible to listen too.

Geary makes a great point, and the guys that have the show before him should listen to it.

This Bills team is good. It’s been a long time since i felt confident saying that. But this team is good. They make mistakes and they don’t get derailed. Josh Allen is the QB we have been waiting for. There is no question about that at all. Maybe some fans still believe that it’s Darnold, or Mayfield, or Mahomes, or maybe even Rosen... but that doesn’t matter. Josh Allen is our man, and week after week, he shows that he plays until the end, he overcomes his mistakes, and he leads the team. What more could anyone ask for?

People who are asking for perfection, belong on the postgame show with those two clowns and their horrible takes on the team we love.

Agreed. There are a few clowns who frankly don’t understand the game.

barely squeaked out two wins on a collective 0-9

sorry, but men who played sports aren’t crowing about this team

it's nice to win over horrible teams, beats losing to horrible teams, and hopefully something was learned that wasn’t on display on the field

Hes 100% correct a young QB will be up and down, and less noticeable so will young players at other positions.

Guess what we aren't going to play great football for 4 months, no one does.

It's September while getting better and having speed bumps just continue to win

This game was frustrating for a lot of reasons but for the quarterback-

he's shown a toughness, he doesnt go into a shell when things go wrong.

he makes play with pressure on

our eyeballs seems to miss what's taking place as he lets the ball go and then complain about a throw or missing an "open" guy

we are 3-0 that's all that matters right now

BBFS is powerful, but can be overcome. I was chilling on the couch with relatively low blood pressure when we went down 3. This team isn’t perfect but I don’t know what the hell people expect. They will continue to get better. Enjoy the ride, we’re on our way.

Actually that streak is highly absurd, and definitely embarrassing to the organization.
