Playoff chances with a 3-0 start

Recommended Posts

Since 1980, teams that start 3-0 have made the playoffs 75.7% of the time. We beat Cincy and I’m gonna start feeling really good about our playoff chances!

Well the Debbie Downer in me recalls 2011 starting 3-0,  finally beating the Patriots and then what happened the rest of that year.

That being said I like this teams foundation.  Would certainly feel reasonable at that point

We had a 4-0 Start but not a 5-0 start. It was a 5-1 start

19-0 Baby!

OK, I kid. I don’t look past next week, and I pray the team doesn’t either. We beat two bad teams. How will we look against good teams, and can we do it regularly? I think we will be solid this year, but very much look forward to being a real contender next year.

Good to hear but kind of irrelevant IMO. While I love how the Bills have been playing, if they go 3-0,  the 3 teams they have played are probably all bottom 10 in the NFL.

Just continue to play well, progress, and take er 1 game at a time.

We've had good starts before. I choose not to play this game.

I'll just focus on the next contest and enjoy how the season plays out. Looking ahead to the playoffs is not advisable at this point.

Totally different team.

Took 100 turnovers that game to beat them.

Roster was thin.

As McD would say, it's about the 'growth mindset.'

The bigger picture is that the team is only just starting to take shape.

Allen, the O-line, Singletary, the rookie TEs, and the WR corps are only scratching the surface of what they are capable of.

With a crap team and schmuck QB.

Allen and McD are bringing championships.

The year I didn’t get the ticket and they called me up the morning of the first loss and talked me into it for $150 or something ...... Effing season👿

Encouraging, that being said......one game at a time.

I've adopted this in my personal fanhood (ie how I actually think/feel, not just post online) and it makes the ride of the season so much more fun, and so much more tolerable when the inevitable lows hit

One game at a time.

Hear a lot folks already looking forward to week 4.

McD's job now and I'm confident he will do it is keep these guys focused on the jobs in front of them including getting better at practice (we're nowhere near playing as well as we're capable and that is exciting) and to understand every week in the NFL is like a new season.

I'm enjoying looking forward to games in ways I haven't felt since the early 90s.  I'm like a kid again watching this team.

100%. I believe the best record where it would be mathematically possible to miss is 13-3.
