That's lazy comparison

Physically they are similar, but between the ears they are nothing alike

And if you have the brain, work ethic and talent as a QB you will make it.

When Drew Bledsoe was the#1 pick everybody said that have never seen someone spin a football like him, it was different..  Josh Allen has that kind of different arm with a work ethic and desire for greatness

And a lot more mobility.

Of course he does. He has Steve McNair's athletic ability with an arm like Bledsoe

During preseason when he was talking trash to Captain and Ed, he frankly looked a good deal skinnier than I remembered him being, maybe his fitness routine was lacking during his recovery time, does he take coaching and fitness advice well or does he ignore that sort of input?

Or maybe he is done, like “put a fork in it” done.... ?? Hope he saved some money during his career...

Never thought Newton was all that good to begin with.

He hasn't and might never recover from his Super Bowl embarrassment.

Took the Panthers to a Super Bowl.. that’s a pretty legit accomplishment for any QB I’d say.

Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer have Super Bowl rings.

If you are a QB that limits mistakes on a team with a great defense, you could win it all. It doesn't necessarily reflect the QB's career abilities.

I'm pretty sure that the year they went to the super bowl Cam was league MVP and accounted for 45 TDs and over 4100 yards.

This was his PC after yesterdays game.

He's gotten more and more strange over the last couple of years. Seems to be more worried about his fashion than football as well.

Never thought much of him as a QB.  When they went to Superbowl and the ball fumbled, he stood there and watched instead of diving in and making a play for the ball.  Great athlete but doesn't seem to care or be competitive.

Carolina should move on, he is not franchise material.  Maybe a back up?

Can you imagine coming into your boss’s office after blowing a meeting looking like that? Come on people! This is just plain dumb.

He was honoring Queen Elizabeth.

Well he has been there QB for 9 years so he's definitely been their Franchise QB

All players go down hill at some point

He's never been very good to begin with. 3 winning seasons in 8 years and this one looks like another stinker too. He's always been capable of huge games, but he's often had suspect decision making and an unreal ability to throw a terrible ball at the worst possible times.

Yeah, he needs to worry more about making a statement on the field instead of behind the podium with his ridiculous outfits.

Cam said he wanted to lose weight and that's why he went on a Vegan diet this offseason and lose 10 pounds to 235.  He may have lost muscle as it's more difficult to get protein.  The first step he should take to get right is order a 40 ounce Ribeye.

So what, a lot of other QBs had better years statistically that year but their teams didn't go 15-1 and make it to the SB like Newtons did.  That said Newton did have a pretty good year that year but all his other year are mediocre at best.
