Welcome to MetLife Stadium, the Buffalo Bills' home away from home

In a scheduling quirk not seen before in the team’s 60-year history, Buffalo — after facing the New York Jets in the Jets’ home opener and coming away with a 17-16 come-from-behind win — face the Giants, the Big Apple’s other NFL team in their home opener, at 1 p.m. Sunday at MetLife.

The Bills have opened with back-to-back road games before, but never in the same stadium. Not that the probability was ever high.

Furthermore, the Bills and Giants, who play in different conferences, have squared off only 12 times in the regular season (series tied 6-6).

This actually is the fifth time the Bills have had to face the Jets and Giants in either Giants or MetLife Stadium in the same season, the other years being 1990, 1996, 2003 and 2011. Those games were weeks or months apart.

In 1970, Buffalo also traveled twice to New York, beating the Jets at Shea Stadium 10-6 before losing to the Giants 20-6 at Yankee Stadium.

I'll go 24-21 Bills. Saquon has me a little worried about this game. I think the Bills will be in control the whole game, but Saquon has the ability to keep it close and keep the chains moving for them enough to make it closer than one would like.

30-16 Buffalo

I just wanted to get out of that Jets game with a W and now that they did, it's time to bust this thing wide open.

same stadium... I say our offense picks up where it left off in the 4th quarter and puts up serious points this week:

31 - 10

Josh Allen - 300+ yards, 3 TDS

The long and the short of it, from a historical perspective, is that a win will give us a lifetime winning record against the Giants, 7-6.

We are already 63-55 (i believe) against the jets.

Regardless of their New Jersey home will will be the all time kings of New York State.

EDIT:  I am mistaken.  I forgot the Super Bowl wasn't included in that tally.

OK, let's get to .500!!

...we'll have to wait three years just to try and get above .500.  😥

28-7, Giants

I am curious about the difference between the home crowds for the 2 teams.  Manesh Mehta was complaining about empty seats and declining resale values for the @ Jets game allowing so many Bills fans to attend but I might guess that the Giants draw a different fanbase.  Will Bills' fans being showing up again in similar numbers or is that more unlikely due to availability/pricing?
