Not long before he starts locker room lawyering. I think Blake might be pulling a Jeff Gillooly job before too long. These guys when they get fired really should take at least 1 year off to review what went wrong and how to improve. This is every bit as bad as Rex Ryan coming to Buffalo and putting on the same garbage show as with the Jets - he never learned. Gase is just as bad or worse - that was you offense that sucked and has continued to stink against McDermott’s D from the beginning. Excellent point! A year off to review, evaluate and make improvements could be the remedy for lots of these HCs IF they are going to be successful moving forward. oldmanfan
I usually don’t like to bring up my past posts to avoid seeming boastful, but in a thread before the season I indicated I wasn’t worried about the Jets because they have Gase as their HC. Some guys top out as coordinators and have no business being a HC. Gase is a prime example.

This here would take a certain degree of self-awareness and internal reflection, neither of which Gase has. 1
The Jokeman
The comments remind me of Hue Jackson and Hard Knocks last preseason. I agree not something I want to hear my HC say.

It’s a real possibility that they start 0-7. That’s a tough stretch. Well at least one of them they cannot lose!

The Jets and Dolphins should account for 4 automatic wins now, which will help. I don't know ever about 4 automatic wins. Regarding two dumpster fires in our Division is AWESOME! Miami is a dumpster fire, full blown dumpster fire!! The Jets.....on its way to a dumpster fire. I hope we see two dumpster fires at the same time in our division. The last time we saw two dumpster fires in the AFC East at the same time and neither was the Bills was last Century?
Cripple Creek
Compare that to McDermott saying he had the most work to do to get better. Who would you rather work for?

I'd like to think I didn't get on their hype train but I most certainly did. Is TN that good? Maybe. I think the Jets win next week though Yeah, we'll see if Tennessee is that good but I think their win yesterday had more to do with Mayfield imploding and making poor decisions at the worst times.

I said it about half a season in at Miami. He always thinks he is the smartest man in the room and he takes no accountability for anything. He just sulks that his players can't execute his genius game plans because.... in case you didn't hear the first time... he is the smartest man in the room. He made the playoffs that season and I was already saying it couldn't last. 1
Matt_In_NH
As great as it was to have a 17 point comeback. The jets were a total ***** show and should have easily won that game.

KD in CA
I can't believe picking up a kicker at the last minute who had already been traded AND cut in the pre-season didn't work out for the Jets.
