There is an interesting article in the Seattle Times today about Seattle's rising income yet the income inequality among blacks and whites is not closing.

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/data/seattles-median-income-soars-past-100000-but-wealth-doesnt-reach-all/

Seattle is not alone.  The article lists the top 10 cities for inequalities in income:

  1. Minneapolis
  2. San Francisco
  3. Seattle
  4. San Jose
  5. Washington DC
  6. Denver
  7. Long Beach
  8. Tampa
  9. Wichita
  10. Atlanta

What do these have in common?

I have lived in Seattle for 16 years and we have had D mayor, governor, HoR, and 2 Senators the whole time.

Yet I need to vote.D to fix the race thing?

...can't wait to see Chuck "The Schmuck" Schumer embarrass himself even more (IF POSSIBLE) in Barrett confirmation hearings........yet ANOTHER NYS political gem....SMH...........

Going completely OT... and yet the RNC will not run anyone electable (read that as reasonable, rational, and well funded) against him. The Republicans have basically abandoned NYS, even though half of the state does not want elected officials like Cuomo, Schumer, or Gillibrand to represent them.

Pelosi begins mustering Democrats for possible House decision on presidency
The speaker sent a letter emphasizing local races, in case a tie in the Electoral College requires state delegations to vote.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has begun mobilizing Democrats for the possibility that neither Joe Biden nor President Donald Trump will win an outright Electoral College victory, a once-in-a-century phenomenon that would send the fate of the presidency to the House of Representatives to decide.

Under that scenario, which hasn’t happened since 1876, every state’s delegation gets a single vote. Who receives that vote is determined by an internal tally of each lawmaker in the delegation. This means the presidency may not be decided by the party that controls the House itself but by the one that controls more state delegations in the chamber. And right now, Republicans control 26 delegations to Democrats’ 22, with Pennsylvania tied and Michigan a 7-6 plurality for Democrats, with a 14th seat held by independent Justin Amash.
