Buffalo Junction
1 hour ago, No_Matter_What said: I didn't bother to do some research myself, and I am not able to evaluate players, but Cowboys fans almost unanimously think that its great deal for Cowboys and that Smith gave them discount since he is team first player and is happy for the opportunity he got. I think his history plays a big part in not fighting for “highest paid” status and taking a good deal with excellent guaranteed money. Jones stopped his slide, and the kid knows how quickly all this could end.

DCofNC
Have to be happy for him and Infeel like he gave them a little break for giving him an opportunity. It was a big risk to take him so high, it eventually paid off, good for both of them.
JustWinPlease
He's a stud...and as long as he was healthy, he was always destined to be a stud in the NFL. I wanted the Bills to draft him so bad.
BillsFan4
That a Heck of a payday after only playing 22 games in the NFL. But he is a great player. It makes that Mosley deal look even worse! I am Glad that, so far, the Mosley deal didn’t reset the LB market at least. I’d take Jaylon Smith over Mosley any day, and that’s before you factor in that Smith is at a $12.6M cap hit vs. Mosley at $17M. Crazy.
