Jimmy G was hot coming in for San Fran. Won 6 games in a row to close out the season if I recall correctly. Once he gets the feel for the speed of the game back he'll be fine.

LOL.  Garoppolo has had fewer starts than Josh Allen despite being in the league for 5 years ... and right now, he's playing like an UDFA rookie not one of the most expensive players in the league.

Garpallo and the 49ers kind of reminds me of the Bills and Rob Johnson back in the late 90’s. They both were back ups with not much game film but a lot of hype and potential and both teams desperate for a QB made a trade and gave a huge contract with little results ever actually produced.

Never make a decision out of desperation unless it's literally life and death.

I still think it's absolutely hilarious how every NFL Insider thinks that Jimmy G is a top 10 quarterback in this league. I also cannot believe that the 49ers even considered giving out that contract when he is literally done nothing in the NFL. How did this guy come so far and make it so big without doing anything at all?

Everybody loves a guy who dates porn stars.

You're right.  I recall that.  Cassel looked good one season in KC as I recall.  Then he fizzled.  In the pregame, Hasselbeck talked about Stitham and how NE develops QBs, citing Garapolo and Jacoby Brissett.   I think the jury is still out elsewhere and I'm wondering about the effectiveness of NE's offensive system.

I think that the only two QBs that NE has "developed" other than Brady would be Matt Cassel and Brian Hoyer.   They were at least low level starters for several teams but Brissett and Garoppolo haven't proven that they're more than competent backups, although Brissett played well the other night.   I don't think any other QBs that the Pats have drafted/signed since they drafted Brady have done anything in the NFL.

Flack looks OK.

Sucks to be Ravens fan

I think Flacco looks like a "brand new man" in Denver.  Maybe the Denver offensive scheme suits his style better than what the Ravens ran.

Flacco got kicked to the curb in Baltimore.  He likes being wanted.

Quick question about rules..can you be out of bounds and make a block on offense?

Good question.  Did he reestablish himself in bounds?   Lock got a lucky spot.  I thought he was 6 inches short.

I think the receiver was standing OOB when he made that block...wonder if it is legal?

I believe you can finish a block out of bounds but you can’t impeded a player from returning into the field of play.

If he was standing out of bounds, I would think not.

I just rewound and watched it.  The receiver had one toe on the white when he engaged the defender.  Since they reviewed it, and the expert didn't comment on that aspect,  it must be okay.

BTW He thought he was short as well.
