Ever consider that teams ran the ball on Buffalo because they didn't need to throw it?  The home LA Chargers game last year by halftime it was 28-6 and LAC were simply running out the clock.

Same thing happened in 2010 during the ill-fated first year trying to run a 30 front under Nix and Gailey.  Buffalo was dead last in rushing yards allowed, but miraculously 3rd in pass defense yards allowed.

Funny how that works.

NFL Team Rushing Defense Statistics - 2018

You can take the stats and sort the criteria multiple ways get a result that ranks from 10th to 26th

ATT YDS YDS/A YDS/G

Funny how that works.

I would prefer to not go any deeper into that rabbit hole

I don't believe that Beane was involved with the first draft when the Bills drafted White and Milano. Regardless, both McDermott and Beane seamlessly work as a tandem. That is a credit to both of them where the task at hand and not one's ego is the focus for both of them.

Beane was hired 2 months after they were hired.
