Ross Cockrell - his name seems to come up quite a big when fans argue that Doug Whaley was good in the draft

Brandon Beane has heard of Tom Brady who is married to Giselle that befriended a woman in Boston whose cousins college roommate slept with Kevin Bacon (possibly a panthers fan).

Ahhh yes...Just got up from a nap. Pleasant surprise to wake up and smell the Bacon's Law.

And the ties between these two teams go all the way back to the beginning. In 1995, the first year in the league for the expansion Carolina Panthers, they had:

GM Bill Polian

TE Pete Metzelaars

QB Frank Reich

WR Don Beebe

LB Carlton Bailey

FB Nate Turner

And funny enough, on that 1995 Carolina Panthers coaching staff were Joe Pendry, Jim McNally, George Catavalos, and Greg Roman (as defensive quality control coach and asst. strength and conditioning coach)...all guys who would later go on to coach for the Bills.

I heard that Sir Purr and Billy Buffalo had an illicit affair which resulted in a rare Panthallo breed bastard.  They shunned and rejected the obnoxious bastard, but not before they named it Train Horn.

That true. Might as well be Bills South or Carolina North

It's only natural since both our head coach AND our GM came from there. Coaches usually bring coaches and staff they trust and GM's do the same. Those coaches then bring in players they trust to already know their scheme.

Happens all around the league when new coaches take over and clean house.

All of the important, impact players on this team were drafted as Bills, are holdovers from past regimes (Hughes, Alexander), or were brought in from teams other than the Carolina Panthers (most of our offensive line, Brown, Beasley, etc).
