Ittakestime
Sirles was good. Wonder if this is a way to re-sign him later on.

You can, it just has to be after a certain point. I'm not sure the exact rule, but they were going to resign Rod Streater a few ago, then traded for Kelvin Bigman

TPS
In a way, it’s good he left with the injury settlement rather than getting cut. He helped recruit Long, and it would’ve sucked for him to have long make in his stead.

There is a rule in place that the team (agreeing to a settlement) can’t resign that player until a minimum of six weeks passes following the amount of weeks of the initial settlement. So for our MCL example, the team cannot resign that player for the first eleven weeks. For a player who did a three week/3 game settlement, his team can’t sign him back until after week nine. However, the player is free to sign with another team. https://nationalfootballpost.com/what-is-an-injury-settlement/ 3
JaBu
5 hours ago, Ittakestime said: Sirles was good. Wonder if this is a way to re-sign him later on. No he was actually pretty bad. He couldn't crack a bad O Line last year; and when asked to step in at both tackle and guard, he played poorly. He wasn't going to make the team.

He was versatile, I suppose... But, below average at two, or more positions is still not good. Edited August 1, 2019 by Rocky Landing

1st Ammendment NoMas
He was going to get cut. For him this is probably best case scenario. He gets some walking money.
