Many family member do it for a household jar

service industry might do it behind the scenes

odds are you won’t notice the extras if you are eating toast

at a local buffet place I see people picking out a bit of chicken or beef from the serving trays, with their fingers,  to get a sample of how it tastes

And that is why I don't mess with buffets

Once you turn your back, don't look back.

Gatekeeper's #1 rule when running the lock... When locking PC (Pleasure Craft):

Once you start the lock gates/machinery, signal red light, never look back, stop the gates for anybody, no matter how much they whine and cry on the marine radio that their great grandmother is dying, second baby-mama is in labor, or the beer is getting warm and they need more ice.

Now... If it's @BringBackFergy or @Cripple Creek in a boat trying to pull some horseschit "priority" stunt... Then you close the lock even faster and go take a nice loooong break, preferably the one hour dump that's been brewing in your lower intestine since eating that football-sized "corn & black bean burrito suizo" you had for lunch! Those two need to "cool their jets" anyway and deserve the "quality time" thinking over and accessing the situation @ hand.  ...Just saying!

Life Rule #739 (Should be posted on TBD homepage in big, bold font):

Never, ever ask @ExiledInIllinois a question that starts with “who”, “What”, “where”, “when” or “how”.....unless you have 45 extra minutes to kill and sufficient gigabytes remaining in your hard drive/memory.

Pretty sure that was from the movie "The Jerk". Am I right?

Actually, I think it was a Josh Allen tweet from when he was in high school.
