Houston Texans decide not to have a GM for 2019 season

Recommended Posts

Some suspect that Easterby, whose rise from Chiefs’ team chaplain to the Texans’ executive vice president has been both meteoric and, for many, confusing, will continue to climb the ladder, regardless of whether it’s anchored in bed of quicksand.

You think he has some connections?

So now not only is Bill O’Brien the HC, and the OC (he decided not to hire one last year), he’s the GM too.

If we kept marrone I imagine it would’ve gone this way. He might’ve suited up at RG too.

Maybe im in the minority on this.   I don't think it's that big a deal from May to Feb.  I think the coach should have control on the final 53 anyways

Whos running your college and pro scouting all fall?

Who is is managing your salary cap?

Or or are you saving all that for after the super bowl?

They're going to hire the guy from New England next year.  I'm sure that was the agreement that was reached between the Texans and Pats.  In exchange for not pursuing a tampering charge on Houston they agreed not to hire the guy until some future date.  Probably post NFL Draft 2020.
