Lack of hustle leads to ....

   If I watch this video, it looks like the entire play exists because the batter failed to hustle to first.  I can see he had a bad start but it didn't look like he ran very hard after that.  Also, I am trying to see why McCutchen tore his ACL.   I can't make out exactly when it happened.

Looks like equal parts happenstance and lack of hustle..I think it started because he slipped after the swing and it wasn't a very high pop-up. But after slipinghe should have been busting it down the line. The first baseman notices and may have told the second baseman to let it drop.
