We’ve claimed T De’Ondre Wesley off waivers and signed TE Mik’Quan Deane

I think the Bills are trying to win the all-apostrophe team.

The Bills really are trying to roll people through for evaluations.  Seems like a no stone unturned scenario.

If that were the case I would have been laid much earlier in life :D

I'm not sue if truer words have ever been spoken....

Mik'Quan Deane sounds like an H-back type.  He's the smallest and lightest of Buffalo's tight ends.  If he gets stronger and can block, I wonder if he could make DiMarco expendable

DiMarco already is expendable.

OTA's are 3 days in.

I guarantee you you will see at least another 12 changes in player personnel from not through September.

What' the issue with Knox?  Is he really holding out?  Haven't heard about this yet.

LOL

There are a ton of different theories out there.

He's at OTAs and working with the team.   That is what really matters.

There's something about third round picks and available years that seems be the reason he's the only rookie still unsigned.  Seems like half the league hasn't signed their third rounders.

A nice TBDer turned me on to this site: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/draft/round-3/

Rookie Contracts are SET in stone.  Only finite details can be tweaked.  So basically over the cap and spotrac can post contract # and be 99.999% correct

I think the (assumptions) speculation is that for some reason the 3rd round had some flexibility in what a player can or can't ask for

it tells us something   ... just not that he's actually signed

Why do you show up?   To show a commitment.

And as to injuries .... thats a damn good question

If that is the case, (and I don't disagree) it does beg the question, what do the Bills do on those plays which call for a fullback sharing the backfield?  They have a stable full of tight ends, (when Kroft gets healthy) but I don't know that most of them are great fits to line up in the backfield.  Deane might be a better fit for that than most, if he can actually block.  Plus, he has a background that includes catching a lot of passes, albeit at a lower level of competition.

What happens to unsigned rookie if he gets injured in NFL minicamp? Does he get paid?

So why would a rookie step on the field for his first NFL practice without first signing a contract?

It's called the "rookie participation agreement," and it essentially assures a draft pick injured during minicamps, offseason workouts or the rookie development program will receive the same contract he would have if healthy, one longtime NFLPA-certified agent explained to NJ Advance Media.

Don't forget Lee Smith is involved. We seem to have a lot of depth there thankfully

I hope he traded in the boxing gloves he wore in first tour of duty with the Bills ;)

He had a great catch percentage during his time in Oakland.
