Do you guys think Mark Clayton should be a HOFer?

Recommended Posts

He scored 84 TD's and was part of a passing game that revolutionized the passing game.

Four seasons of double digit TD's.

Five seasons over 1,000 yards.

Maybe he falls short, but his numbers are solid.

Nope, not close to dominating.  Maybe not best on his team.

Are you referring to Mark ‘Super’ Duper??

Yes, they were good WRs and had speed, but they were products of Marino.  He could make any WR look great.

Clayton was definitely the better of the two WRs

I disagree with this line of thinking.  Duper and Clayton were good WR's as you state.  They ran the routes and had to get open.

Marino was able to put the ball where it needed to be consistently, but he wasn't working with stumble bums out there.

NOPE HE WAS NOT THAT GOOD

OK, OK! Ya don’t have to yell! ?

To the OPs question, he has the numbers. The Hall is overflowing with WRs though, which makes it a tougher challenge to consider older retirees at the position. Look how long it took Andre -with equal #s. Then there’s the new phase of how the game is played and more WRs will likely see 84 TDs & multiple PBs, fair or not. So my guess is no going forward.

,,,,Marino and the "Marks Brothers" were entertaining, but neither WR merits HOF IMO............

He was good, no doubt.  HOF?

Just after Steve Tasker

I read the final sentence quickly, and saw ‘just ask Steve Tasker’.  I was going to say we’re picking on him in another thread.  Time for more coffee.  ?

It's about football....you can check other topics...we discuss things not related to the Bills here...

Gotcha - my understanding that topics must have Bills the is erroneous.

Seemed like a random topic as he has been out of league 26 years and out of the news.

Good player but not HOF worthy
