The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are replacing the 2010 No. 3 overall pick with the 2010 No. 2 overall pick.

A day after releasing Gerald McCoy, the Bucs are closing in on a one-year deal with free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports, per a source informed of the deal.

Suh spent the 2018 campaign with the Los Angeles Rams, proving he could fit into a 3-4 scheme, which likely makes him a better match than McCoy with Bucs new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. Suh started the season slow in L.A., but came on strong down the stretch and played beastly in the playoffs. If the Bucs get postseason Suh as opposed to early-season Suh, it will be a boon for a defense that needs front-line aid.

Better there than the AFCE. I heard talk today on NFL Radio about McCoy to Pats*, which I’m sure was just speculation. But sometimes speculation comes to be reality. Have I mentioned I hate the Cheaters*?

His career has been disappointing and he’s a scumbag.  Now, I don’t think he cares enough to be a scumbag. He is a guy you only sign to 1 year deals.

Augies, I heard the same , but doubt it.  The Colts have the most free space with $58.5 mil and could use an interior penetrator.  That’s my bet, bu again as you said, all speculation.

I’m good with any team that can help knock off the Pats*!   😋

That's one way to say it.  I think Suh paced himself (ok - dogged it) during the year and only started to play in earnest once the playoffs started.  I have no use for a part-timer.

Unfortunately, especially with big guys, I think this happens all the time.

5 days & counting to ‘finalize a contract’? What is it, a 5000 page read?

Somethings amiss..

McCoy to Suh?

Isn’t that kinda like robbing Peter to pay Paul?
