I used the Google machine to see what was said about Levitre when he was drafted.  Check out the Maybin write-up on this site ... LMAO ... https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/4/26/854922/2009-nfl-draft-buffalo-bills-pick

From the comment on Byrd- "Ko Simpson, beware: you are officially on the roster bubble."  ?

I’m really starting to feel old

Maybe you just started paying attention?    ?

I, on the other hand, am fully self-aware! I have to be, people keep reminding me!

OOPS! I’ve never dated any girl who would have been pleased with that. Well, maybe one.......

I wonder what she is up to?

They tried to put Orton's name on the wall, but it slid away a few yards short.

I started to feel old when Derek jeter retired. This doesn't help. Ha

I'll feel really old when Adam Vinatieri retires as he's the last player in the four major sports who is older than I am. Jaromir Jagr was second to last. Bartolo Colon is a month younger than I am, but even he's not on a team last I checked. NBA players rarely make it to 40 on the court.

I'm in this weird (but amazingly fun) 4-sport fantasy league and at one point had Vinatieri and Jagr, probably for that very reason.

You want to feel really young: Jose Canseco is still playing professional baseball, sorta, or at least put up some official stats last year at age 53, but hasn't had a hit since age 51 and no homers since 50.

Saw him, when he was the age I am now, playing for the now defunct Newark Bears in front of me and maybe 20-40 fans. He was staring into the middle distance most of the game and it was one of the sadder sights I've seen.

This thread is pointless without pictures.

That's almost exactly what it says on the side of my box!

Wang + Levitra = Wood

It’s still early, but that’s in the running for ‘Post of the Week’.

Actually other than the Maybin pick that was a pretty solid draft.  Maybin was a total act of stupidity though.

Levitre was really in the right place/right time to get paid after his rookie deal with the Bills. Nice player, but not what he appeared to be. Didn't bust on the level of a Byrd, but never lived up to the contract.

And man. I'll be sitting there watching scores on MLB.COM and do a double take when I see a Fernando Tatis Jr. That guy's still playing? Oh, it's his kid. Crazy.

Offensive lineman almost never live up to mega-deals. Teams even try to get out from under HOF players, because they just aren't worth the money over time.
