boater
Fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Cowboys, Redskins and Patriots have unlimited budgets--but they aren't magnitudes better. If fact Redskins largess seems to work against them. The Bengals, aka the cheapest FO in the league, is not magnitudes worse than anyone else.
BringBackFergy
Well, thus far no one has given me a logical reason why the cap shouldn’t apply to GM’s, coaches, admin and equipment guys. I, for one, would like to find the best nutritionist in the league but if he/she’s on another team, I want them to account for that salary. Same for the weightlifting trainer and the others who treat the players. Maybe, just maybe, if Hoodie has to skimp on a trainer due to the cap, they don’t have the benefit of that therapist’s expertise. You guys need to think ahead a little. I’ve heard the argument a hundred times: The Cheats only win because of two people - Brady (subject to the salary cap) and Bellycheat (not subject to cap). The Hoodie should be subject to the cap. Period end. Add to that hat the scouts, the nutritionists, the administrative staff (who handles calls, travel, orders Gatorade, etc). The playing field should be level for everyone. Can ya hear me? Augie
Maybe there should be a luxury tax, like the NBA, with all proceeds going into the official “Tail Gate Fund”!
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
If you want to add in coaches salaries you'd also then need to add in salaries being paid to fired coaches. That would really hurt teams that have been weak for year like Buffalo and keeps firing coaches. So better be careful what you ask for. or you're really a Pats fan as your idea would likely help them much more than it would hurt them..

Bills need to continue to join the major leagues, not force the bigs to join the minor leagues. all goes to the fact that if the league were to start over today, WNY would not get a sniff at a franchise. RIP Ralph, but I for one am glad a rich guy who wants to join the bigs is in charge now.

Forward Progress
So wait... Now that the Bills have one of the league’s wealthiest owners, who is willing to spend aggressively on coaches, scouting and best-in-class training facilities to field a competitive football team... now you want a rule that limits what they can do? With your rule change, we would have eaten so much dead cap from the Rex Ryan staff, we would have had no choice but to ride out the contract.
