TBN: Way-too-early 53-man roster projection

DiMarco is serviceable at best. Not many teams have a FB anymore. I say line up. TE at have back when needed. Carrying 6 WRs is a better way to go imo.

Maybe, but Daboll does.  That 6th WR will never see the field. DiMarco saw 15% of snaps last year.  Its the difference between 0% and 15%.  This seems like a no-brainer to me.

God I hope not. But you are probably right though. Maybe he could be the waterboy or something, practice squad. He should not play.

Pool boy!

Don't see both Fisher and DiMarco making it. Add a receiver and he did a decent job. Oh and Lacey being gone is something I will be pleased about.

I think all of the backup linebackers are on notice. If Mo Alexander is a linebacker, and Joseph is, then there is maybe 1 space up for grabs.

I worry whether this projection pays sufficient attention to special teams.

The Bills core STers in 2018 were: Lacey, Pitts, Neal, Holmes, Di Marco, Stanford and Thomas.

Obviously Holmes and Thomas are gone so they need replacing. Lacey and Pitts miss the cut in this projection. Maybe Jaquan Johnson takes Pitts' place... and Joseph takes Lacey's but Holmes was one of our top gunners and if we don't have a receiver to do that job then that probably falls on a DB too. Looking at the corner depth and the receiver depth beyond Roberts as a return specialist I don't see any teams value. Nor do I at running back or tight end where Kroft did play a fair bit of teams early in his days at Cincy before he became a starter / rotational starter and Fisher has played next to none. Knox played some earlier in his college career so maybe he gets a shot?

I just think those position groups where Skurski has gone deep other than safety and linebacker lack STers and the questions about a 6th corner v a 6th receiver v a 4th TE v a 6th back etc will come down to teams.

Honestly, thats a good way to look at it. We can also think about injuries at the WR position. I am glad I dont have to make these decisions ?

DiMarco was on 15% of drives?  I haven't seen him make any plays the last few years

He was, but he is a fullback, its a position that is easy to go unnoticed.  I don't expect the fullback to "make play," I expect him to block.

Blocking has sucked the past few years.  I have noticed DiMarco getting burned, but have yet to see him make impact play.  Tom Rathman he is not.  I never understood Holmes fascination, nor duchesse, or Dimarco

It is actually such a great luxury to see a player like Bodine be on the roster bubble. I think Bodine is a good backup center. So to have him on the bubble shows the strength and effort they put into building both the starting O-line and the depth behind it.

Croom should be out. He is very meh. That said I'm not convinced he will be - banging the boss's daughter will keep him around.

What if Terry doesn’t like him for his precious little girl though? Might call for the axe to get him outta town. Gotta say, he’s playing a dangerous game. On the other hand, he could marry an heiress. Cajones.
