After the pick, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah compared him to Vikings DT John Randle. more so than Donald.

damn, that's quite the comparison, a hall of famer, I'll take it.

Yes he is....he is playing chess not checkers sir

Could have pulled the trigger and gave up picks to move up for a player that actually fell to us and was probably their number 1 or 2 player

Ok....Beane’s a genius cause he didn’t do anything and the pick still fell in his lap?!?!?

You know that when you do nothing and still have exactly what you wanted just fall in your lap isn’t  called genius..........it’s called luck.

ESPN showed more highlights of Aaron Donald than Ed Oliver.

It was lucky for sure. He also didn't panic. He can't take credit for Oliver falling for him, but he can take credit for picking him there with all his other resources in hand.

Beane had to have a clear understanding of what the teams ahead of the Bills were going to do.  There must have been a temptation to give something up to move up a few spaces, but he didn't do that.  "Genius" is probably too strong, but "well-prepared" and "nerves of steel" apply.

Seems like he ought to get some credit for winning Oliver's heart.

That's interesting how they see it differently. I recorded all 3 broadcasts and ABC had the most coverage of the Bills pick by far. Nice interview with Ed's brother, Marcus, and his dad. Both were crying tears of joy. Very touching to see their family dream come to fruition.
