I'm fine with it...Dawkins is highly overrated, and he is not a tackle.  Give me another Josh Allen please ar 5.  Risner can be had in the second as an improvement over Dawkins.

So a guy that NEVER has played OT in the NFL and isn’t even a top prospect is better than a two year starter???

I’m not a huge fan of Dawkins based on his play last season (and pics of his super fatness in the OTA) but he has ability.  Gotta give him at least this year at tackle before moving him to guard

Isn't even a top prospect ???   He'll go higher than Dawkins did........plus you GET Josh Allen !!!!!   Read up on the Senior Bowl.   Go ahead and pay Dawkins if you want.  The line played like sh--t with him...if you move him to guard then....

Really hmmm forget his Rookie year and how he played in a playoff run when there was an Adequate OG next to him.

Nah. All good Keeping Our young LT at LT putting a real LG next to him and watch him turn into a top end LT in the NFL.

McCoy will end going for much less like trading our 4th for their 5th + McCoy.

Amazing if the above could happen. Work the phones Mr Beane.

I don't think Dawkins is a franchise LT unless he gets motivated and puts in the work this year. Hope Morse inspires him and eases some pressure off him.

Let’s see. Seems a lot of people forget that he was actually really good his rookie year.

1. DION DAWKINS, LT, BUFFALO BILLS

Trading a player of the caliber of Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals was a bit of a surprise, but the reason the Bills felt comfortable doing so has been the play of Dawkins. A second-round rookie out of Temple, last year he was thrust prematurely into the spotlight because of an ankle injury to Glenn just 56 snaps into the season. With one of the best left tackles in the game down, Dawkins was left as his fill in. He performed better than should be expected of any rookie, grading a solid 72.4 (26th overall) up to Week 8. However, from the halfway point, things only got better. From Week 10 of 2017 onwards, he was our fourth-ranked player with a 84.6 grade behind only Joe Staley, Nate Solder and Ryan Ramczyk.

With the oline signings (all 6 of them, including a natural LT in Ty) and the blunt comments on Dawkins regressive ‘18 season (from both himself and the bills) starting to wonder if bills view him as a true 2nd contract guy. Hence knowing the draft chart says making a jump like this in the top 10 is worth a 2nd round value who says no to 9th overall and Dawkins for 5th overall?

why the bills like this - they get Williams or Oliver, the dominant 3T this defense needs and is the one position they didn’t address in FA cause I think they really want a stud here to be their kawaan short and that’s hard to find in FA. In this scenario Ty slots in at LT, Waddle at RT, competition and future year starters added at tackle in later rounds (as early as 2nd), bills keep all picks in this deal of course so keeps open option of trading back up to late first

why the bucs like this - Dawkins would slot in at RT or RG, both weak spots for the bucs now, and put them in position to still land a stud LB (one of the devin’s) they want in the heart of their D

Not sure this is  wise move as you may just create another hole on Oline.  Waddle is not a starter at NFL level or an improvement over Mills.  OBD would have to use their 2nd pick for an OT that could come in and play right away.

Dawkins probably missed Incognito; had to play next to the likes  of Ducasse and Teller. A new LG (Spain? Long?) and a new O Line coach should help dawkins  his head straight. he is making less than a million per year to play LT, and is under contract for 2019 and 20. Why give up that kind of value?

Do you know who the new OL coach is?
