Greg Gabriel: Hot name to Jets is Ed Oliver at 3 (Gregg wants him)

Recommended Posts

Well, I’m just going to keep telling myself a very good football player will be available at #9. What else can I do? If our guys want to move up or down, I’ll trust them to do the smart thing.  (I’ll reserve the right to complain later.)

...so what would be Plan B?.....

Well, that just means somebody else is falling. Q. Williams will never make it to 9, but maybe he falls far enough to be affordable? Sit and wait.....and see who’s left.

But it will be a bummer to see Oliver go before our pick.

Well its clear the Bills would prefer either Williams or Oliver at 9 but if both of them are off the board its either gonna be OL, Hockenson, or Trade down, especially with news of Gary sliding because of production and medicals, Sweat having medicals as well.

well that pretty much seals it.

2 picks are already in according to the Twitter GM's!

1. Murray and 3. Oliver

I'll check Ben Albright and ICB twitter now to get the remaining picks. Brb.

Please hurry! This is killing me!

I just tweeted this to Sal, but...

First we hear from Matt Miller that the Bills love Ed Oliver. Then we hear that the Jets "badly" want to trade down. Then we hear that the Jets are taking Oliver. I know trades with division rivals are rare, but is it crazy to think the Jets are trying to lure the Bills into trading up for Oliver?

...NFLN featured an interview with the Williams kid...VERY impressive IMO...well grounded and detailed how he bulked up smartly when asked to do so for the positional change...

I thought the same thing. "Hey look, if you don't trade up to our pick, we're gonna take your guy."

Less than a week....C'mon already!
