....so dispel this "...who?...huh?.....stuff out there......read where he was Sr Management and also a former CIA attorney.......can't envision Durham chasing minnows when there are some MAJOR fish out there......help us out here..............

There are a couple things to unpack with this news... I'll try to do that in an effort to answer your question. Barr came out yesterday to say that major developments with the Durham probe would be happening before the election, he then said it would start tomorrow (today) and though it wouldn't be anything "earth shattering" it would show where Durham is headed.

Clinesmith was the most "slam dunk" case they had to make based on what's in Open Source, the IG broke the story months ago that Clinesmith literally falsified evidence for the FISA warrants and mentioned he was under investigation for doing so. Thus, it's not "earth shattering" to have this confirmed by a plea deal. But, for those people paying attention to the minutia of the matter (of which there aren't many), going Clinesmith first, and having it be a plea deal, is a big deal.

Why?

Because of where Clinesmith resides in the chain of command. He was involved in not just the Crossfire Hurricane team and the Mueller team, but also the Clinton email investigation which wrapped up just as CH was beginning. Meaning, he was a "hand picked" member of McCabe and Brennan's "fusion team" (fusion teams consist of personnel from different agencies, in this case FBI and CIA). Clinesmith's plea, and his lawyer's statements today (which are butt covering to the extreme) make it clear he only altered the evidence based on orders from his superiors.

Who are his superiors?

Moyer/James Baker was his direct boss, but because he was on the CH team, his actual CoC was: Strzok>>>McCabe>>>Brennan/Comey. If (and it's still an "if") Clinesmith rolled over on his chain of command, that means Durham and Barr have cases to make against Strzok, McCabe and the FBI/DOJ teams as well as Brennan and the CIA teams (which bleeds over into the State Department because State Department = CIA in almost every way when it comes to this case).

Going back to Barr's original statement last night, if we take this plea as a road map as to where Durham is going then we can summarize Clinesmith is at the bottom of the food chain of perps they're chasing. Meaning the major fish you mentioned are still indeed in legal peril. In other words, from today's events we can reasonably conclude that Durham/Barr are indeed going to go after Sr level personnel in various agencies and, perhaps, the director level of both the CIA and FBI.

If I were Comey or Brennan today, I'd feel very uncomfortable. If I were Strzok or McCabe today, I'd be cutting whatever deal I could to roll over on Comey/Brennan. Same goes for Clapper.

added Moyer to Clinesmith's CoC, forgot her.

...GREAT stuff DR......MSM has cricketitis on these matters as is the same for UAE Peace Agreement...shocking, right (COUGH)?......seems like Durham took his time to find the weakest "canary link" willing to sing....smart stuff.....and the links you have laid out are damning as an understatement.....stay tuned.....

Admittedly, I don't follow this story like everyone else because I expect it to to come up empty in the end, but I do follow Housley. He seems to piss off the right and the left, which is usually a sign he's over the target.

But there are just too many moving parts to this story for the average American to follow consistently...so many names and contacts and chains of command, etc....and the ones with the biggest megaphones simply won't give it the attention it deserves to get people demanding justice.

For anyone looking for a short high level overview of this whole disgusting saga may I suggest watching this talk by Dan Bongino. He condenses a normal 45 minute talk into about 25 minutes. He begins with the illegal queries of the NSA database and Admiral Rogers (plan A), then gets into the fake FISA warrants (plan B), and finally the Mueller investigation (plan C / cleanup).

I know this has been posted before but it is even more hilarious today.  Clinesmith (attorney 2) whining about election results and then the throw in at the end about Pence . And his admission then that his name is all over the goddamned legal stuff .  And lastly that the changing of evidence for which he just plead guilty he did that months later.  What a dumbass .

Employee “Like, what happened? You promised me this wouldn’t happen. YOU PROMISED…”

Attorney 2: “I am so stressed about what I could have done differently.”

Employee: “Don’t stress. None of that mattered. The FBI’s influence.”

Attorney 2: “I don’t know. We broke the momentum.”

Employee: “That is not so….”

Attorney 2: “I’m just devastated. I can’t wait until I can leave today and just shut off the world for the next four days…I just can’t imagine the systematic disassembly of the progress we made over the last 8 years. ACA is gone. Who knows if the rhetoric about deporting people, walls and crap is true. I honestly feel like there is going to be a lot more gun issues too, the crazies won finally. This is the tea party on steroids. And the GOP is going to be lost, they have to deal with an incumbent in 4 years. We have to fight this again. Also Pence is stupid.”

Attorney 2: “And it’s just hard not to feel like the FBI caused some of this. It was razor thin in some states. Plus my god damned name is all over the legal documents investigating his staff. So who knows if that breaks to him, what he is going to do.”

@Deranged Rhino  your thoughts on potential targets that "crosses party lines"

My operating premise since the 702 abuses were disclosed in this document (which Bongino discusses in that talk above) -- https://www.dni.gov/files/documents/icotr/51117/2016_Cert_FISC_Memo_Opin_Order_Apr_2017.pdf - was that this kind of surveillance abuse for political gain didn't begin with the Obama administration, but with W's. I can't rule out completely that Durham/Barr would go back 12-16 years to make cases, but I find those odds very low. Instead, what I expect them to do in terms of crossing the aisle is to focus on who on the right was distributing the dossier to the FBI, State, and media.

And that's a big ol' rats nest of neocons. The primary target (imo) would be this asshat:

image.jpeg.7b3a864746799da46f6e85d616e887ee.jpeg

https://www.mccaininstitute.org/staff/david-j-kramer/

David Kramer who was one of No-Name's biggest staffers. Kramer and McCain both were involved in the dossier's spread very early on in the process. This rats nest expanded to most of McCain's congressional toadies like this dipstick:

image.jpeg.fa6cc2598255d6b4deca3f68161db334.jpeg

Adam Kizinger's office ran point in the post election cover-up for the then under fire neocon House members, he really took the media lead after McCain died. He's a bad apple with his fingerprints all over the spin machine in the Never Trump right. But as a sitting congressman, he is likely to be immune to any of this. His staff -- and Kramer -- are not.

Then there's the rest of the GOP Senate side of things, starting with the intelligence committee. A committee very early on I referred to as the "swampiest committee on the Hill". A lot of the big targets here will be career staffers who have served multiple Senators over the years. The figure heads are Richard Burr and Marco Rubio, both of whom helped smooth along the cover-up and deceive the American public on the ICA and Russia threat (this even though Rubio himself was spied on while he ran, but he lacks a spine and quickly folded himself in with Burr and the other neocons left in Congress due to either pressure or guilt).

My money would be on Kramer and his ties all the way up through the State Department -- but it's a target rich environment once you get into the inner circle of the neocon establishment circa 2016. McCain was the head of it, but he's gone now to a place that's very, very, very hot.
