Begs the question then ( sorry if i missed it already posted )

why did the Titans feel they could let him go ?

I would think so.

They have spent lots of money along that OL with Lewan's deal and will have to pay Conklin good money. He had lapses last year where he was benched because of his run blocking. He has been a solid pass blocker the past 4 years.

I would be satisfied with knowing that 80% of our starting line consists of Dawkins, Spain, Morse, and Nsekhe. Gotta figure that competition between Teller, Long, Mongo, and Boettger for that RG spot would bring out the best in everyone.

Dont jinx it! You know how fragile our psyche is!

2019 NFL Free Agency: 10 second-wave free agents who could be under-the-radar bargains  - Under the radar bargain

Quinton Spain, G

The Titans signed Rodger Saffold to fill Spain's role on their offensive line, which means he should now be available to somebody else. Spain has not been quite as good the past two years as he was in 2016, but he has shown the ability to reach a higher level of play than almost any offensive line free agent left out there. If you need help along the offensive interior, again, he's one of your best bets for quality production.

The Titans signed LG Roger Saffold from the Rams.

This is their scheme driven upgrade from Spain. Saffold is athletic enuf to pull/trap in a zone or spread blocking scheme used by Titans. Spain did not show the versatility last year Vrabel wanted to see. He was good in the man scheme they used more before 2018.

Thats the deal he was on last year in effect. He's looking for a term deal IMO.

But this deep in free agency with many teams having already spent their cap, he has to know that he would get more next year when free agency opens. Since he was released on March 15th he lost out on free agency.

Started 15 games in 2018.  Allowed only 1 sack

I hope if they sign him, they immediately cut Vlad.

Vlad should have been cut when the final whistle blew Vs. Dolphins

That's the main reason why his PFF rating dropped.  I know the Bills were trying to get more athletic.  Interesting to see how they use him

Looking at his Kallage Hi-Lite film, I see he holds quite a lot. Had to check out his pro stats, and yes, he holds a lot.

These OL signings look more like a power run game and less like a zone to me.  Most of these guys are strong but not very nimble.  Mostly good pass protectors though.  Not really sure where they are going with all of them.  Maybe they don't either and are just waiting to see who sticks.

Man Bean is not playing around. He has completely rebuilt this Oline. We are going Defense in the draft.

Thinking the same thing, rebuild the offence quickly with FA, establish a young dominating defence through the draft. The coach is from the defensive side and believes in defence first.

When this new line coach came in he and Daboll must have concluded none of the returnees were worth squat.  I'm starting to wonder if Dawkins has a job.  They brought in two tackles and if they draft one he's probably out too.

Right? Don't laugh Dion might be depth once all the dust settles.

One of the things quoted.

McBeanes has told these fringe guys looking for their shot to start finally , such as Long Feliciano etc.

"Its a competition, nothing is given at this point "

I get the feeling our FO is being honest. Part of their method I think.
and if true  lol .. i respect that stuff big time.

Los Bastardos are sucking me in aren't they   ha ha ha : )

Come along. Don't be shy.
