Are you the guy who really got Playboy for the articles?     ?

Kidding, I’m with you. I don’t gamble in Vegas, so I don’t care if they add gambling at the stadium. If others want it, I won’t judge. Have fun! I’ll just be out doing the football thing.

I get the "while you are there aspect" but the region is already overloaded in terms of gambling options.  Further, kids are kept away from other venues but is there going to be a firmly maintained age minimum to gain entry to such rooms?  I won't oppose it but think we really don't need one more venue for it.

I don't want to be that curmudgeon guy, but seems like overkill at this point in terms of trying to invent new "entertainment options" for the stadium crowds--all of the owners are trying to do that in some form or fashion under the guise of attracting more business/traffic, but at what point do you draw the line and say you're here for the game down on the field and treat the field with a little more priority than the ancillary food court at the mall? If the fans really are that bored/fickle, then find something else to do with your Sunday afternoons. Look, I'm all for more comfortable seats, cheaper concessions and decent wifi throughout, but I also know I'm not in Vegas when I'm attending a local sporting event, jmho. Did anyone see marketing genius Russ Brandon back in town coincidentally? :P

A Bills fan saying at what point do you draw the line and go for the game... 70% of the crowd isn't their for the game, they're their for the tailgate. I'm there for the game, if I could put in a bet or two I don't see the harm to anyone outside of potentially themselves if they have an issue.

If you're their for the game, why would things for other people bother you?

None of those venues have sportsbooks...

The 180 this league of hypocrites has done on gambling is astounding. They fought it tooth and nail at every step and when it's legal, they want a piece of the action. F them. I'd use a bookie out of spite to cut them off. And I'm beyond over the Pegulas as owners. He's a dolt and she's out for the nonstop profit, as if they're starving. They'll still ask taxpayers to build, owner, operate, and maintain a billion dollars stadium for 10 days a year. Socialized debt, privatized profit. More sickened by this league, both its racist, *****-mongering owners and its kid and wife beating and substance abusing employees.

10 years ago I would have lost it had they moved, now I wouldn't even care.

Now imagine, they get this passed, and then build a new stadium. We could be the first stadium designed with gambling in mind

I'm guessing the Raiders stadium in Vegas probably has some gambling ideas in it's design.

It would seem to me that almost every fan in the stadium would bet on the Bills and force the line to change, thus making it a worse bet.

Sounds like a rip off, or maybe I am too skeptical and negative..

Do you think stadiums would have separate single location sports book in it? That would be the only way the odds would change when Bills fans bet Bills. Like at a dog or horse track. All self contained betting.

I would guess the final look of in stadium sports gambling will be on a much broader scope. That some existing sports books would put satellite shops in the stadiums that would run on game day and also during the week as part of a big sports bar club restaurant juggernaut type setup.

Like internet based betting sites like fandual or youwager sportsbook etc etc........ or even an existing sports book in Vegas allowed to open satellite shops. NFL then taking a cut of profits. I could see NFL partnering with a sports book or two and have them in every stadium. This would make the line stay current to all bettors around the country and even international bettors and not just crazed fans at one stadium.

I would think that would work best for all.

I would not bet if it was self contained at stadium and if the line would change like in greyhound betting right up to kickoff. No way. Stupid.

They’ll have slot machines in the weight room, a casino in the stadium, pump in oxygen and pheromones to keep fans in the casino and out of the stands, and Brown will lose his new-found fortune

.

I agree that a Satellite book would CERTAINLY run the operation. My guess would be William Hill which is based in the UK and runs ops in both DE and NJ.

As far as race betting, it's also not self contained. There are thousands of OTB locals across the country that move the odds. No intent to dismiss your overall take, but that's just a fact.

I would also take the contrarian view in terms of betting in a self contained environment. As much as people feel some kind of way about betting against the Bills, wouldn't you take the Patriots plus 20? All in good fun.
