Yup. Just look at Indy. They needed to fix OL and they maneuvered perfectly to get Nelson.

Yep just look at the Jets. Had Wilkerson and Richardson and y'know, grabbed BPA in Leonard Williams.

Except your understanding of what BPA is Wrong.  Still can’t believe how many fans can’t understand this very simple concept.

BPA does factor in NEEDS.  BPA could be a RB and 1000000% Giants will NOT draft a RB.  Same with us for QB.

The BPA on a GMs board is based on the team board they built.  And that process takes into account needs, their system fit, etc etc.

And that also means going up to get players you covet.  The BPA on Bills board was Josh Allen.  The BPA on their board after that as draft started continuing was Edmunds, they went up and got him.

People take the BPA way to literal without applying simple logic to it that BPA also factors in needs or opportunities to upgrade.

I agree with your take but that is not how Beane is explaining it to the media.

The Bills needed a QB and a MLB last year and Beane maneuvered to get them.

The Bills need a TE, edge, and DT in the draft. All three will be drafted in the first four rounds. The fourth pick will be an OT or WR perhaps in the first round who may very well be BPA, especially if there is an early run on the defensive linemen in the first 8 picks.
